“ Room was SPOTLESS!! …not fancy but good enough and really very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was good for us while traveling. Didn't see much of the property but what we saw looked nice. It was more or less off season in the area so it was hit or miss for restaurants. Oh, the coffee provided in the room was EXCELLENT…really didn't expect that. Temps dropped and it was cold but they had turned on the heater for us before we arrived. That was thoughtful. Heater kept us warm……

“This place was everything we wanted for a quiet, scenic weekend getaway. The river is steps away and has a beach area to set up chairs, fish, and swim. The view from the back is an open field and wooded area. The covered area over the camper has a constant breeze even on the hot weekend. There is a fire pit and we were able to get enough driftwood to get a fire going. Hookups were easy and clean. Do your research and have all the things you need before you get here. “We wished we could take the swings on the porch home with us. My sister and I were here for a week, and it was super comfortable. We play a lot of board games, for which the turret was perfect. Also, the natural light is great. A box fan helps with air circulation in the closet bedroom. As others have noted, beds are firm and could use some padding for those of us who are older. Road is very close and road noise will be heard at night. Earplugs help. Shower is just perfect and does have some……

“Room was clean. Cabin was clean. It is rustic, but nice. The kids and grands met us there, which is a little distance, but we really enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate Grandpa’s 80th birthday, with burgers, hotdogs, s’more and cake! It was wonderful. Thank you for all your help!”

“We are repeat guest. As always property was well stocked and very clean. Diane is a great host and always available if needed. Caught a couple nice Blue Catfish, 8-10lb. Kicked back outside by the fireplace and relaxed. We unplug when we are there. No news, no phones, no stress. Not too many full-time neighbors. (very quiet). Those that live there are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a stay for those looking to return to a simpler time, even just for a few days.”
