Stunning little Home at home

This property is outstanding, I was blown away. It is such a private little aboad, whilst it is such a comfortable and homely feel. The hosts really do well at keeping your stay private but are there fof whatever, whenever they are amazing. Thanks heaps guys,!

The owners are nice and the location is excellent with grocery stores, car rental, gas and train stations all within a 20 minute walk/two minute drive. The bed was very comfortable and was fitted with quality linens that made for a great sleep. There were however a few things that did taint the experience. Personally, if I were planning to host a guest I would make sure that major construction work be planned so as not to overlap with a guest’s stay. Having to walk through the garage to access the front entrance - okay. Being unable to park in the designated car spot because the driveway is drying - fine. Having power outages that resulted in no hot water, while workers could be heard walking on the roof above the bedroom is where it started to feel like there was an expectation to roll with the changing conditions of an active construction site. I think the accommodation itself needs a deep clean and some general upkeep. I cleaned the kettle which had significant build up inside, possibly from hard water, and the washer/dryer had a noticeable stale odour. Laundry detergent was nearly empty when I arrived. TV remote out of battery and no spares. Construction dust piled behind the sink. Pool was cloudy. Lastly, I killed two cockroaches in the living room. Along similar lines to a previous review, I think this property has potential, but it seems to be a pattern that the hosts put the guest experience second.

Lovely Location

Cosy unit with modern amenities in lovely area....particularly liked the little touches such as the welcoming bottle of champagne in the fridge when we arrived (especially arriving at 1 a.m. after our flight was cancelled and luggage lost).

Apartment was perfect. Every need was provided. Location great but you would need a car for getting places. Would definitely recommend for a couple.

This place literally had everything you need for a stay plus more. It also looks exactly the same as the photos, not cat fished like a lot of listings. Definitely coming back here again.

Had everything you could need for staying a few days. Condiments, staples like bread, butter, cereal, milk, yoghurt, biscuits etc. All the kitchen utensils etc you could want. We went out, but everything there. Secluded from main house. Pool is in their back garden, but we never saw the owners. You can request privacy for pool use. Easy access, no keys, all electronic code access.

We arrived late at night and were informed of a power outage. This was due to water leakage coming through light fittings and was due to heavy rain during roof repairs. We were not supplied with torches and were reliant on light from our phones. The floor was wet in 3 patches within our room and continued to drip through the light fittings through the night. We were informed that the host would meet us and guide us in but he fell asleep so we made our own way in the dark. There were tarpaulines on the roof that flapped noisily above our bathroom. The power outage was not resoved until breakfast time next morning after we messaged the host - no power =no hot water. The property has fantastic potential, the host gave us clear directions and was apologetic about the power outage, but we question the safety of hosting guests while renovations are underway. We were told the roof would be worked on next day but after three nights we still had flapping tarps above us. Carparking and property access was also inappropriate during these renovations. The pool was obviously closed as it was green and dirty- yet to be cleaned for summer. When renovations are complete this property will be comfortable and very well appointed.

After a delayed flight we arrived to a very hot unit due to broken air conditioning which took two days to repair. The property looked as if it had not been cleaned to a satisfactory standard, the windows were dirty, pool was cloudy, television screen covered in children’s fingermarks, the bedclothes very creased and needed ironing. No welcome pack as in previous reviews. Furniture around pool are was dirty also the outdoor furniture to the unit.

Fantastic experience

Anna and Braden were fantastic hosts. We couldn't of asked for more from them or the retreat. Situated in a quiet beautiful location, near Mindarie marina, it was a pleasure to stay. And it was a lovely surprise to find so many handy, tasty, well thought-out breakfasts foods and much more. We felt very spoilt. The pool area is tranquil and fresh. Anna has great taste and has decorated and furnished the place in style with a warm, cosy feel too. The retreat is of high quality, with lots of extras like board games, books, spare robes, fresh towels, linens, and great WiFi with a huge TV. The bed was very comfortable and dark blinds really help for the bright mornings. I'd highly recommend staying. We stayed for two weeks and missed it as soon as we left.

We were so happy with our stay here. It felt like home from the moment we arrived until we sadly left. You cannot find a cleaner, nicer, well appointed home to rest relax and have a wonderful time in the Perth area. We highly recommend it!

Very well equipped apartment.

This apartment is way above the standard you would normally expect for a rental property. The pool area is lovely and the location is ideal for the local marina and beaches as well as many other beaches on the stretch of coast north of Perth. The amount of food provided is far too long to list here but it included bread, milk, orange juice, ham, cheese, eggs and dozens of other things. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it.
