Heaven in the Countryside

Wow! This house truly captured our imagination! After spending time in Rome and Assisi, my husband found this gem for our family to have a few days to reflect on everything we had seen before heading home. After renting two cars at the Perugia airport, we drove to the house and picked up groceries at a supermarket along the way. The house is on a hill with incredible views of the valley below, with peace and quiet all around. Flavio and his wife were incredible hosts! It was drizzling when we arrived and they greeted us at our car doors with umbrellas and walked us into the house. Flavio gave us a thorough tour of the house when we arrived and made us feel at home. They also supplied a pack n’ play for us when we requested one and were very responsive when we had questions. When we were there the flowers were blooming everywhere and we loved being on the edge of olive and fruit trees. The kids also LOVED the annex, the extra cottage with kids’ bunk beds, and, of course, the pool. This house was one of our favorite parts of our whole Italy trip and no one wanted to leave this magical place. We are grateful that we had the opportunity to spend some time relaxing in the Italian countryside. We are so thankful to our special hosts for sharing their home with us. Highly recommend!
