「Florent and Rachel’s apartment is one of the biggest we have stayed in! It’s located right in the old town centre but is a short walk (or drive) from supermarkets, boulangeries and the sights of the centre. This is not a modern, minimalist “IKEA” flat pack fit out. This is a 16th century building, with stone touches, chipped paintwork, squeaky floorboards and uneven ancient tiles. The owners have celebrated its age by filling it with quirky objects. 「Absolutely perfect. Dole, especially being in a very quiet part of the old city, was a wonderful respite after the crowds and hustle of Paris. Our host Pierre was great. We got a bit lost but he found us in the street. We arrived very hungry and here escorted us around old town looking for something to tide us over until the restaurants opened at 19:00.」
