"I booked on Hotels.com and was a little surprised when I checked in and was asked to pay an additional "resort fee" for each night of my stay. But the good location, welcoming and accommodating staff, and otherwise good value for the property allows me to overlook the fee. The fee apparently covers your access to the coffee service in the morning, bike rentals, and a daily use-it-or-lose-it $15 credit for the hotel restaurant."
