"Athena Resort is a fantastic unique hotel in Ninh Binh, the little house style accommodation feels like a home away from home and the pool facilities are expansive. The staff were fantastic including helping us to confirm details on sleeper buses we were taking to the next leg of our trip. The resort is standalone so is extremely quiet and tranquil with the small village of Tam Coc not too far away (20 min walk down a single road over the rice paddies), or a quick taxi / bike ride. "Serenity is a good word for this place to have in its name. The bungalow was great, very spacious, comfy bed, huge shower, and a pool for those wanting a dip. We went out for breakfast every day so I can't comment on that. Tam Coc is a great place for being tourist friendly, it is super walkable and very lovely. Highly recommended"
