Good Stay

Hotel was overall very nice. Private beach was lovely, however the ocean is not the nicest to swim in here. A few areas are incomplete (kids wet play zone) etc, but otherwise the finish is very nice. Huge pools everywhere, nice walks through the complex (reminded my a bit of centre parks as a child) and always available golf buggy collection.

I did not have a good experience. Upon arrival I was suppose to get a welcome drink. I never received my welcome drink. I also had to have them changed my room because it wasn’t the room I booked. The mosquito’s are horrible. Overall the staff is lovely.

Our stay was absolutely once in a lifetime and beautiful! Me and my husband celebrated our honeymoon at the resort and we are so glad that we did! Not only was the staff, very professional and welcoming. The facility was perfect for a first time coming to Phuket. The resort is self, is more secluded and perfect for relaxing and getting away from the city, since it was both of mine and husband’s first time to Thailand, we wanted to explore the facility had amazing excursions and options to go and explore the town we absolutely loved staying there and can’t wait to bring friends and family next time to stay.

Nice stay but needs urgently improving on Services

The Hotel room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, there is almost no space for Clothes storage or a cupboard. The surroundings are very green and kept in a good shape. The staff was very friendly, but not very attentive. Tables in the restaurant where not cleared and cleanded up to an hour for new guests. Overall it was a nice stay, whereas I would rate the Hotel max. 4 Stars, with prices of a 5 Star hotel.

Overall my stay the first few days were good, nothing bad until my last day! I left jewelry sitting on the table the night before and rushed the next morning to leave for my planned activity. When I came back my necklace and bracelet went missing! I sat at the lobby for over an hour for front desk to "investigate" but they said housekeeping did not see it? although their access cards were the only ones scanned??? Hotel did not even try to compensate. Terrible terrible management

Our recent stay left us with mixed feelings. The location is undeniably stunning & the island offers a serene atmosphere, creating a great first impression. The spa was a highlight of our trip. The team is clearly skilled, and the treatments were excellent. However, the booking system seemed a little disorganized, which slightly detracted from the overall experience. Breakfast was another standout, offering a wide variety of tasty and satisfying options to suit all preferences. Additionally, the reception team deserves a mention for their professionalism and kindness in resolving a hiccup with our check-in, going out of their way to accommodate us. Evening dining was also enjoyable, with high-quality food and a diverse menu selection. Unfortunately, there were a few drawbacks. Our experience at the restaurant on Saturday night was particularly disappointing. After waiting for 5 minutes waiting to be seated we found and prepared our own table having been repeatedly ignore by staff. We then waited 25 minutes before someone came to take our order. The service felt unwelcoming and unprofessional, which was disheartening. In summary, Island Escape by Burasari is a beautiful resort with a lot of potential, but it falls short in some areas, particularly in service and activity offerings. If you’re looking for a tranquil escape, it could be a good choice. However, addressing these shortcomings would elevate the resort to a more consistent luxury experience.

Overall, a potentially amazing holiday destination for families let down by horrendous service. This resort is billed as a 5 star and, particularly during peak season, is extremely pricey compared to relative options in and around Phuket. As such this review carries a certain level of ‘entitlement’ which we feel is justified given the 5 star billing and price level. Pros: The large family pool layout is fantastic and the most alluring attraction of the property. We stayed in a pool-side villa with families in other villas around the pool and from this perspective we could not have wished for more. The facilities were excellent (the Splash Zone is great for families, particularly with very young children). The spa was amazing but pricey on a Thailand scale. The breakfast buffet was nice. Cons: Service was by far and away the major failing of the property, which unfortunately exacerbated minor issues into major ones without needing to (and major ones into crisis ones). The boat transfers were mis-reported and mis-communicated, they tried making us wait for an hour in the heat with 6 kids even though they had sent confirmation of an earlier transfer. Lots of waiting around to be taken to our rooms with luggage. Items included in the booking were not honoured. The quality of the food was just ok. Staffing was poor quality and there was no front of house manager to deal with anything. In summary, this could be a great property but the service quality was terrible.

The resort has attractive grounds and pools, and the direct access to the pool from some rooms was an excellent feature. However, communication with staff was poor with calls to reception often going unanswered. Food quality did not meet expectations for a 5 star resort in Thailand. Pool room had an unusual jungle gym type design that took away from the potential.

The place was an oasis safe and quiet we were able to relax what we were looking for transportation after 5 from the main island to the hotel was not on the speed boat aside from that the staff was GREAT
