“The retreat was exactly as pictured and as described. It was incredibly cleaned and stocked with any and everything that we needed, that we may have forgotten, including a first aid kit. The extra surprise was the plunger in the bathroom, which gave us a great laugh. Loved it and would definitely come back. Thank you for sharing your home with us. It was relaxing and peaceful and that’s exactly what we needed.”

“This place was better than in the pictures. Had an amazing time on the property that provided a range of outdoor activities. For us the views were amazing especially given the time of year with all the tree colors. The owner is amazing and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get off the grid and just relaxing.”

“The property is on Wheeler Lake, which is a great lake for fishing and watersports. There's a sandy public beach nearby that you can visit for $5 per person, and the boat launch is fairly close. Lakewood is five minutes away. The cottage is older, but has been nicely remodeled with two newer bathrooms, a modern kitchen and numerous other updates. There's a nice deck with a table and six chairs overlooking the lake, so we spent most of our time outside. The dining table only sat four, but it is……

“The cabin was just adorable and the owner was gracious enough to provide a welcome basket of goodies and supplies. The only problem we encountered, which was absolutely not a huge deal for us, was that the WiFi password was not provided. We possibly located it but what we found did not work for any of the available networks. Again not a deal breaker but if this is important to you make sure to discuss before booking. Also to be noted, the cabin is VERY VERY secluded. Being a woman with 2 small……

“Enjoyed a lovely stay with family for a weekend in mid-February. It was an ideal gathering space with top-notch amenities (i.e. Hot tub, Subzero fridge and a heated bathroom floor). Everything was SO CLEAN! Host was on vacation herself but very responsive to a few questions we had. Kids had a great time playing the games in the garage and using the tv and video games in the basement. The adults enjoyed doing a puzzle and playing cards at the dining room table. I only wish we could have stayed……
