Property owner was very responsive. The house was spacious and had what we needed to keep the kids entertained and to do what we had to. Great location and quiet, beautiful neighborhood.

We spent two nights at this property while visiting family. The home was in a great lacation and was in a beautiful upscale neighbourhood which gave us hope that the house would be the same. This home is much older than most of the surrounding homes and I'm sure in the past it was very nice. However, while clean and tidy, the home is showing the wear and tear of being used as a a rental property. Previous reviews have said the same thing, showing poorly done repairs and a general feeling of neglect. The appliances were old and questionable. The stove seemed to be lacking power or had a failed element in the oven as we had difficulty getting the oven hot enough to cook a meal. The dishwasher seemed to be newer than the other appliances but it didn't seem to work properly and we resorted to washing our dishes in the sink. If you could provide more cooking supplies, pots, pans, dishes and utensils, that would be a big help. We didn't use the laundry facilities. The beds were clean but a little too firm for our liking and that of our guests. To summarize, we enjoyed our stay in the home, it certainly had more than enough space for us and with a few improvements, has the making of a very nice property. This was the most deceiving rental I’ve booked. The heavily edited photos do not show you the poor condition of the home.The home is noticeably old, damaged, and falling apart. Doorframes, walls, the flooring, outlets, the bed frames, and the lock to the front door were damaged and not what anyone would expect to receive for a rental. For 1800 CAD, we were upset the entire weekend on the condition of the home. The photos will show the theme of the condition throughout the home. The lint trap for the dryer looked like it had never been cleaned. The front lock is so cheap that anyone could break in with little effort as it looks like a plastic deadbolt. Towels were stained and there were no amenities (shampoo, body wash, working bathroom outlets). There was a damaged and stained ironing board available but no actual iron to use. The spice rack was empty and there were just bags of random spices in the cabinet, I wouldn’t even have a space rack displayed if it’s empty.

Très bel emplacement! Près des grandes artères et des magasins. Télévision et internet parfait et il y a une belle salle de jeux pour les ados! Manque un petit peu de vaisselle pour accommoder 6 personnes. Le logement était propre mais ça pourrait être mieux. Communications et échanges avec l'hôte étaient parfaites. Les images sont fidèles à la réalité. L'arrivée c'est passée tel que prévu c'était parfait! Je recommande!

Not enough dishes for the number of guests. It was a nice safe place with a cool games room. We did enjoy our stay. Cleanliness was ok. Downstairs games room washroom was not clean. There were not enough hand towels or a dish cloth.

What we were looking for

We wanted a comfortable place with a kitchen that could accommodate all four of us in a pleasant neighbourhood that didn’t cost a fortune. This place ticked all the boxes!

Great place to stay

This house checked all of our boxes - affordable, good location for our trip, a proper crib for our daughter to sleep safely, in a safe neighbourhood with all the necessary shops and amenities nearby. Excellent and prompt communication with the host, clean property well stocked with necessities. The mattress in the master bedroom is hard as a rock, but otherwise it was a very comfortable stay!

Very nice house and lots of space

The house is nice and has lots of space. The games room downstairs was a hit with our kids. Nice backyard area however the description mentions a hot tub and unfortunately there was not one. The kitchen supplies could have been a bit more stocked. No large pit to cook corn in, not enough plates and cutlery once used for the meal before. Overall, very nice place and plenty of room.

The house provided all the basics while providing comfort, fun games, plenty of space for our family -- all while being close enough to Toronto to access all the city has to offer.

NYE stay

We have been traveling to Pickering for years, this is a preferred alternative to the local hotels. The only minor negative is the property could use a little TLC in certain areas. Will stay again for our next trip!

Excellent séjour dans une maison propre et spacieuse

La communication avec Johirul a toujours été facile et rapide. La procédure d'arrivée et très bien expliquée. La maison est spacieuse propre, identique à l'annonce et situé dans un très joli quartier résidentiel très proche d'un supermarché. Nous avons juste regretté un petit manque d’ustensiles de cuisine (nous étions 5). Un bilan très positive, nous recommandons cette adresse pour visiter Toronto et ses environs. Jérôme

A perfect home away from home

We were impressed as soon as we walked in the front door of the house. It is exactly as described in the listing and it certainly was spotlessly clean. We were a couple, a young mother with a baby and her mother. The three bedrooms were perfect for us. They are all spacious. The neighbourhood is a beautiful one and it’s very quiet. At night, we didn’t hear a sound outdoors. We chose it as it was very close to family we have in Pickering. Our host was very responsive to any questions we had, - before and during our stay. He was very prompt in his replies. I would certainly recommend this property to stay and I will stay again, if the need arises. Anita from Eastern Canada
