Value for money in Pietra Ligure

We were staying 4 nights at the Jolly Roger Hotel. Fantastic staff, comfortable Hotel room, great view over the beach and a very good breakfast made this a stay to remember. A bit of noise from the trains passing by, but all in all JR deserves full score!

A shortened break

We were looking forward to a relaxing break at this hotel. Our room was supposed to be a superior room but was disappointing. When I booked on the hotels.com website it showed the hotel having a pool and this was a chief selling point. There was no pool. The hotel is right on the edge of Pietra Ligure so it's a fair walk to where restaurants and shops are. The hotel restaurant has a limited menu and is quite pricey especially for wine. As we weren't happy overall we cut short our stay. In fairness the breakfast was very good and the views from the restaurant were outstanding

Das Personal war ausgezeichnet und ist jederzeit auf mich persönlich eingegangen. Zur Offseason ist es etwas schwerer Essen zu bekommen, weshalb ich jeden Abend im Rooftop Restaurant war und dies auch gut war. Wirklich mit Vorsicht zu genießen ist die Tatsache, dass man im 1. Stock keine 10m von der Bahnschiene entfernt schläft und da das Hotel genau zwischen den Bahnstationen liegt, ist das auch entsprechend laut. Nachts fahren leider auch Güterzüge, aber nicht so häufig. Ausblick ist jedoch traumhaft.

Dette hotellet ligger godt plassert ift sentrum og strand. Frokosten er veldig god med topp service (og fantastisk utsikt). Rommet var stort og badet også. Andre gang vi bor her. Kommer tilbake.

Die Zimmer waren sehr schön, modern. Nur leider gibt es nur eine Stange mit Aufhängemöglichkeiten für Kleidung und ein Fach unter der Stange, was bei Kleidern dann bedeckt ist. Darunter noch eines für Schuhe. Ansonsten war in einem Zimmer noch drei kleine Regalfächer alles offen im anderen Zimmer fehlten diese leider völlig. Auch war es unheimlich laut … hinter dem Hotel fährt direkt der Zug vorbei. Außerdem ist es durch die Rooftop Bar sehr laut an schlafen vor 23:00 Uhr ist nicht zu denken. Das Frühstück ist super und wird immer sofort aufgefüllt - Bonus ist hier auch der tolle Ausblick.

Super freundliches Personal. Frühstück am 6. Stock traumhaft. Zug direkt hinter dem Hotel unglaublich laut. Fährt rund um die Uhr und man wacht immer wieder auf. Parkplatz muss extra bezahlt werden. Mehrere Sachen im Zimmer nicht im besten Schuss aber ok… zB. Duschkopfhalterung hängt nach unten; Klorollenhalter defekt usw. Alles kein großes Problem, hat aber einfluss auf das Gesamtbild und dir Bewertung.

Vacances pas du tout au calme

Nous étions au 5ème étage. Au 6eme étage se trouve un roof top avec un restaurant. La musique est forte et surtout la chambre n’a pas d’insonorisation. La musique est forte jusqu’à 23h et les bruits des assiettes est très dérangeant jusqu’à minuit et même plus, le temps que le restaurant soit complètement fermé. De plus la voie ferrée au pied de l’hôtel n’aide pas. Les trains passent jusqu’à 1h du matin. Un travail d’insonorisation serait le bienvenu. Pour des vacances le calme n’est pas au rendez vous. A 180€ la nuit je trouve ça très dommage
