"About 2 days into our stay we were forced to move rooms due to a "maintenance issue." No one would tell us what the issue was. When front desk called to request we move, they offered to send someone to help use move items. I went to get my new room key and the lady at the front desk (Rachel I think) was so rude. She kept asking me what the maintenance issue was, as if I even knew. She had an attitude about having to make the transition in the computer, as if it was my fault. They never sent someone to help. I traveled alone with 3 children age 10 and under. I also have family with us. we requested 3 times before we even got there to be placed in close rooms. We weren't even on the same side as each other. We requested to be placed together once I was told to move and they still wouldn't do it. Extremely inconvenient for everyone in our party. The roof leaks in the room. The housekeeping didn't show up until 5 at night.
Smores were or favorite! Reserving chairs starts at 9 and "restarts" at 2pm. They told us after 2 to just find open chairs on the beach... well, obviously there were none available from the morning round of reserved seats. Handicap accessibility is not great. very much a challenge! Chairs aren't close to the water and the wheelchair for the beach can only be used to take the person to their chair then immediately return the wheelchair.
I read many reviews that said skip this resort and save your money, but I was already convinced to stay here. Don't."
