“I went to several places in Sri Lanka (the more expensive and the lesser) and I can honestly say I had the best time at this accommodation. I stayed in a tent by the river and the sounds of nature are incredible. The hotel is situated practically inside the rainforest, the owner came and picked me up in the village as the accommodation is at the end of a small path and not reachable by car (which made it even more adventurous, you’re truly going back to nature). Staff was more than kind and so……

“We came to Sinharaja NP and as nature lovers, we hoped to experience the primary rain forest and the unique birdlife. Unfortunately, the owner talked more about the potential of making billions with this prime location. After talking to a biologist staying at the hotel (who spent several days and a LOT of dollars at the hotel w/o actually being able to enter the primary rainforest/park!), and after a horrible “”night tour”” involving getting lost in the forest/banana plantation in the middle of……
