I picked Azure Del Mar based on reviews, and once back home wanted to confirm that they were right...it is a special place! I am generally an independent traveler who prefers a bit of the off the beaten path. I needed somewhere that I could relax and restore and this was the perfect place for that. The staff are excellent and provide a very personal touch. I was a solo traveler and felt welcomed and safe. The cabanas are unique and comfortable. There is a lovely breeze and you can hear the waves from bed. I was there the first week of May and it was not crowded, in fact, I often had the beach all to myself and felt like I was on my own private island swinging in my hammock. The restaurant is good, but you can also walk to a bakery, small market, or other places to eat. I wondered about staying farther out from Placencia, but have no regrets about my decision. Azure del Mar is an amazing place and I highly recommend staying there.

Azure Del Mar was absolutely amazing! After sailing and camping for a few nights it was the perfect place to relax and treat ourselves. It was super relaxed and low key and the cabana was absolutely stunning! We really enjoyed the pool, beach and the incredible food and service. Maria was so lovely and welcoming and Jr. And Jo at the bar were fantastic bartenders! Next time we will have to stay longer! Thank you to all the fantastic staff for making our stay so special!

The room was great. Right on the beach. Staff were excellent and everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Food was great as well. We had an excellent vacation. We would definitely return!

Our room was the best one on the property. Amazing view, beautiful room. We loved opening the doors and letting the breeze flow. The porch was so relaxing with a hammock within feet of our room. The pool was nice with a view of the ocean. The restaurant had delicious food, as well as great cocktails. Maria was really helpful and kind at the front desk. We had a fabulous stay!

I really liked this property and chose it because it was small. People should be aware though that the pool and beach are open to people not staying at the property so it ends up being busier than it would be with just registered guests.

Es ist eine wirklich tolle Unterkunft mit nur kleiner Zimmeranzahl und damit besonderem Charme. Das Essen im Restaurant ist hervorragend. Das Personal sowohl am Front Desk als auch im Restaurant war mehr als freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Lage direkt am Strand mit Palmen ist einmalig schön. Das Konzept eines Semi-offenen Badezimmers ist Geschmackssache, bei tropischen Temperaturen und Moskitos hat es auch kleine Nachteile. Insgesamt aber ein mehr als empfehlenswerter Ort für eine tolle Auszeit in Belize!

Great Stay
Our one night stay here turned out to be great. Beach front, individual cabanas, pool, and a great restaurant. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The free airport transport to Placencia was a plus as well!

We will be back! This small resort is so charming and we can’t say enough about how wonderful, helpful and kind everyone on the Azure del Mare team was. The food was also excellent. Azure del Mare may not have all the amenities of the 5-star resorts, but it was as close to paradise as we’ve ever been!

So many good things about this place!!!!
I cannot say enough good things about this place...a gem for a solo traveler looking for something easy and relaxing. The service and staff were so nice and helpful and the vibe of the place perfect. I was looking for something on the beach that was not super crowded to unwind. The cabanas were great and met my needs, the beach was within a 30 second walk, the dock with the chairs became my resting place to just relax and read a book and the restaurant was really good from service to food. I appreciated that you could order food to your room. The bikes and kayaks were an awesome addition and I didn't need to rent a car. There is an amazing bakery within walking distance and I really did not need to leave the hotel for much. Wifi was really good, too, for those that want to stay connected. I often do not go back to the same place but if I need a place to relax and not plan something big, I would definitely come back here!

Lots of character and unique stay. The staff was very nice. They took us on a short tour of the property before dropping us and our bags off at our room. They seemed to be expanding while we were there. At least 4 more rooms with an ocean view.

The closest to an affordable Paradise
A little paradise, amazing beach, most cabana have sea view, restaurant is very good (and one of the VERY few options in the area). Not noisy at all, and they are all very respectful especially in early mornings and late evenings. Staff is super helpful, airport shuttle, free bicycles, help with motorbike rental. All perfect

Azure Del Mar is such an amazing place that I don't want to review it as I want to keep it to myself. That being said, this is a wonderful quiet, clean, beautiful, and well kept place with amazing staff. If you are looking for the same you won't want to miss out.

This property is a boutique resort with a total of 8 cabins. It’s beautifully located on the beach with exceptional employees. Valerie is a great hostess and the restaurant has amazing food! I highly recommend staying here the next time you visit Placencia!
