Beautiful location
Great house, right on the ocean. Our kids were all stung by jellyfish plus with the seaweed we ended up utilizing the pool a good bit rather than swimming in the ocean. The paddle boards were great to have. The location is about 25 mins from Placencia Village, where the majority of good restaurants and grocery stores are. House was great and clean, with lots of amenities, games, towels, etc. Not all windows have window coverings (including the bedroom), so very open to the beach. Had a couple of merchants come up to the beach (in Belize beach is public property), plus twice had people from the manager but without notice (plumber & delivery person), so overall little less privacy than we are used to. Overall still a wonderful house and location. Manager Christine was very responsive.

Amazing Stay
We returned from last year and we are so glad we did. Amazing property and amenities. Great communication with the host and property manager. We were so impressed we have already booked for next year! Highly recommend! If you want a wonderful stay in Placencia this is your place.

This is paradise
Phenomenal house and location. The home is well stocked with everything that you need including fresh drinking water. Truly unbelievable experience. Owner was super helpful and responsive. The food and amenities in Placincia are fantastic. Will be staying here again and again!

Wonderful
This was our first trip to Belize and we are so glad we chose Casa de la Vista because of its beauty, privacy and proximity to amenities. Even though there are nearby properties, there were very few people around. Driving the full length of the peninsula, we agreed that no other accommodation would have suited us as well.

Nice secluded spot
Great secluded beach front location with private beach area and pool. Quiet spot for a relaxing vacation and short drive to some maya beach and placencia restaurants and little further drive to downtown village. Would definitely come again. Can’t beach the location and what you get for the price.

Perfect Place to stay in the Placencia, Belize area
Have to agree with ALL previous reviews (5/5) - Perfect facility for amenities, location, comfort and convenience. The pictures posted to the home and surroundings are accurate! Want to view the Carribean waters - steps away to the beach, from your upper level large covered patio/dining area, the refreshing patio pool, the large outside deck, or lounging chairs by the beach? Placencia at its best
This house was amazing. My husband and I enjoyed our 25th wedding anniversary here in February for a week and booked it for 2 weeks next year. We can’t wait to be back. The location was perfect with plenty of great restaurants and bars nearby. We enjoyed drives into the Village and north to Hopkins. I recommend renting a car from Leo. My husband enjoyed a fun and successful day of fishing with Kyle.

Beautiful Getaway
Our entire family had an amazing stay. Our young adult children loved the deck, paddle boards, and access to the beach / ocean. We loved the quiet of the location and the proximity to restaurants and activities. Leo was fantastic and scheduled all of our excursions and surprised us with fresh coconuts when we returned one evening. The whole family agreed that this beautiful property and it’s amenities made it one of our best trips ever!

Wonderful beach views in Placencia
Loved our stay at this property. Christine was wonderful to work with and Leo was responsive before and during our stay. The house was the perfect size for us and our three young-adult children. We enjoyed having coffee each morning on the balcony looking out on the water. The property had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable including games for a rainy day. We highly recommend doing the ATM tour which is amazing. The house is located in a very quiet area but still close to great restaurants. Everyone we encountered was so friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend this property.

Enjoying Belize
The location was perfect for us and the house was ideal as a base for seeing more of Belize. The balcony was delightful for enjoying our morning coffee while watching the sun rise. We loved having a choice to either hang out in the sea or a refreshing swim in the pool at the end of the day. The property manager, Leo was very helpful and quick to respond. We would definitely come back.

Better than I ever could have imagined.
My husband and I booked this house knowing nothing about the area or it’s offerings. We saw the house and immediately felt drawn to it. To our delight the house was more than we ever expected. The house is directly on the beach and the beach front is only for you. Each rental on the peninsula has its own private beach front and the vegetation keeps it semi private for each property. You are in your own world essentially. Words can not describe the peace you feel. The house was easy to get to. The property manager Leo arranged for us to be picked up from the small airport and we were treated like royalty starting then. Marvin picked us up and had droves of information for us. He pointed out to us all pertinent places and suggested some things to try while we were our way to house. He gave us a printed hand out also of everything we talked about. We rented a car through Leo and Marvin had it delivered to the house as we were arriving. Placencia stole our hearts. The vibe of this area is infectious. Time slows down and life truly magnifies. The people we met were amazing. The peninsula is perfect to navigate and every life changing experience you need is within an hours drive. Everything about this place was delightful. Just to note for travelers who may use Maya air, leave early! The flights were late both ways. The departing flight was an hour late and put us in a terrible bind to make our flight to Houston in time.

Perfection in Placencia
Christine was so kind, understanding, and accommodating, as was the property manager and his staff. The house had everything we could possibly need. This property was a highlight of the trip of a lifetime. Beautiful home on the beach!
We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beachfront home, and I must say it was an absolute paradise. The property's prime location right on the beach provided breathtaking ocean views and direct access to the sandy shores. The shade-covered pool was a delightful retreat, offering both relaxation and refreshment. Every moment spent at this rental was a true bliss, with the soothing sound of waves and the cool ocean breeze. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect beachfront getaway.

Simply Amazing
I had the opportunity to stay at this amazing house during my vacation to Belize and would highly recommend it to anyone. The house is perfect and offers great amenities. Can't wait to book our next vacation stay. Leo was incredibly helpful in making our trip special by scheduling some great adventures and making sure we got there safely. If you are in need of a massage while you are there, I suggest you ask Leo to book Alba for you. She comes directly to the house and sets up on the deck for you to enjoy the breeze. Overall a great vacation and a great place to stay.

Quiet Retreat
The house is well appointed with all the necessary essentials. This area is very quiet but very nice. It's just a short drive to the market and many beach restaurants. Leo was just a phone call away and Christine was very quick to answer any questions we had. I would highly recommend this property. We LOVED our stay!!!

Amazing Stay
We absolutely loved Casa Dela Vista. The house was perfect for three couples. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfortable and the outdoor areas are beautiful and peaceful. We spent our mornings drinking coffee on the deck and our afternoons by the pool or on our own private beach. We enjoyed fishing off the pier and paddle boarding in the ocean. Leo and his staff are absolutely wonderful. Leo arranged a fishing trip and a snorkeling excursion to Silk Caye for us. I highly recommend both. Our fishing guides (Shane and Rudy) fillet the red snapper for us and we had fresh fish tacos on the deck that evening. At Silk Caye, we swam with a manatee, sting rays, turtles and nurse sharks. We also hiked (actually it’s a two minute walk from the parking lot) to the waterfall that we read about in the house manual. We went around 9:30 in the morning and had all three waterfalls to ourselves for a couple of hours. We chose to rent a car in Belize City and drive rather than taking the commuter plane to Placencia. On the way to the house, we took the Hummingbird Highway and on the return trip, we took the Coastal Highway. Both were beautiful drives but now that the Costal Highway is completely paved, it was an hour shorter to the airport. Just make sure your car is gassed up because there are no services on the Coastal Highway. We truly had a perfect vacation and we hope to come back soon!

Just returned from a spectacular 5 nights at this beachfront oasis. Communication was perfect, property management was spot on and location was ideal. Pool was chilly but refreshing in the heat of the day. Seating options in the sun or shade and all were comfortable. Beach was delightful but the seaweed was a problem, but didn’t impact our stay as we know this is an issue everywhere. Food at the resorts nearby was the best we have had on any vacation! Highly recommend this villa and Placencia!

Great place to stay
The home was just as advertised, it is a beautiful home. Our Nieces enjoyed using the paddle boards, there was a bean bag name which we all enjoyed. There was really no need to go anywhere if you didn't want to as you had it all there. The Bistro was excellent, great food and wonderful staff! Drove down to the Tipsy Tuna strip, again great food and a lot of fun shops to walk through. We would definitly rent this again!

Private and beautiful!

Exceptional Experience from Start to Finish
Our recent stay at Casa de la Vista was absolutely perfect. The house had everything we needed, the location was absolutely ideal and the natural beauty of the surroundings took our breath away daily. In addition to having all the desired creature comforts, the property management assistance could not have been better. Leo and his team arranged all our tours, provided transportation when needed and answered every question before we thought to ask them. Leo also suggested a dinner at the Maya Heights Restaurant which was the perfect ending to a perfect vacation. Communication throughout the rental process and while in Belize was immediate and thorough. Our family of five adults will forever be grateful we found this property and all it had to offer. Can't recommend enough.

Great place to experience Belize for first time
The very best thing about this place is being on the ocean with a beautiful sandy beach right in front of us. Even though other homes are on both sides, we never had trouble with noise, too many people around, etc. Just the quiet, healing vibe we needed to escape from cold weather and the stresses of everyday life.

Must stay!
Christine’s home was truly that, a home away from home. From the moment we pulled up we knew we found a hidden gem. The house is exactly as described, relaxing and comforting. The location was perfect for our group of adventurers to travel into the country to hike and explore, but a short enough drive down the peninsula to food and bars in Placencia daily. The house is great to spend the day on the beach, with plenty to keep you entertained, or as a home base for exploring. We highly recommend this home as it made our trip to Belize perfect.

Beautiful comfortable home with views
We enjoyed staying in this comfortable beautiful home and loved the little pool and coconut trees. The view was beautiful. We had a great experience snorkeling with Sunnyside tours. Don’t waste your time renting a golf cart. Use a car and wear mosquito repellent like it is sunscreen! If you book snorkeling or scuba with Sunnyside Tours, ask for Mo, she is the best tour guide we had, and we went with other companies before we found her and Sunnyside. They’re awesome! The turtles and Rays are amazing and the coral reefs are still alive and beautiful! Definitely a worthy visit and the home was a great place to adventure out from!

Beautiful spot!
This house was perfect for our needs as a family. Right on the beach in a quiet area, refreshing pool, very comfortable inside. It was extra nice to have the paddle boards and floats available. Beautiful views both off the beach and from the roof. The property manager was fantastic with transportation help, tips, and organizing excursions. Christine the owner was incredibly responsive and pleasant to work with. Definition rent a car so you can get to the village (which is super fun) but some restaurants and shops are pretty close by.

Ideal spot for family reunion
The description of this house is spot-on! We spent our days on paddle boards, snorkeling, reading, playing corn-hole and lounging in hammocks. The one thing you can't grasp from the pictures is the true beauty of the beach and the sea. The water is generally calm with small, lapping waves and the beach is very private, besides the neighbors on either side. It is incredibly peaceful, despite being right on Placencia road. The house itself was perfect for the six of us, but keep in mind the third bedroom seems to have been an add-on....so a little smaller with no independent AC and also a little less private, as the walls consist of oversized plantation shutters. Still would not have been a deal-breaker, just FYI. I liked the location, being in between downtown Placencia and the Hummingbird Highway. Great local restaurants....our favorite was The Green Parrot, and we loved Jaguar Lanes for the bowling and outdoor pool table. Christine and Leo were also extremely helpful and super-quick to respond to any email/text. Overall, would highly recommend Casa de la Vista....we had an amazing time at Christine's house!

Overall a great place and location
Generally a very good and comfortable stay. The property has most of what you’ll need to be comfortable for a family of 4 or up to 3 couples. The home is in need of some updating and general maintenance, though, this seems typical of most of the country and Central America in general. The beach and ocean are fantastic, though we couldn’t swim too often due to the jelly’s. We even spotted several rays while sitting on the beach! Bugs can be aggressive, but spray works well if you keep on it. The kitchen could have been better supplied with a few basics, like cooking oil or condiments as other similar properties I’ve stayed in. The pots and pans need to be replaced as well, but again, it’s a short term rental and def isn’t a dealbreaker considering the location and price point!

Great location, amazing home!
Casa de la Vista is a beautiful home...very clean, well-appointed and super convenient to Maya Beach and Placencia. Christine (owner) and Leo (local property manager) are both kind, helpful and responsive. As if Belize isn't easy enough, they go out of their way to make sure that you are comfortable. Paradise
This piece of paradise is one of the most amazing places we've ever been to. My two sons and I travel to different location annually and this one goes right to the top of the list. The host provided everything you could possibly want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The home and amminties were impeccable. The views were incredible from everywhere in the house. The pictures don’t do it justice. Beautiful home, great location. The hosts thought of everything you may need. Very clean and well stocked. Leo the property manager made the excursions as easy as possible. We would also highly recommend looking into “taste of Belize” as an activity to book. A fantastic way to experience Belize cuisine and learn about their history. Overall, very satisfied with our stay, if you are on the fence, do it! You won’t regret it.

Beautiful Property with a Breathtaking View
Our trip to Belize was absolutely wonderful. The house was just as pictured, and very lovely. All of the outdoor spaces were quite nice and had gorgeous views. The house was very clean and had everything we could possibly need- even a lime squeezer for those margaritas on the beach! There are even guide books on the coffee table in the event you want to read more about the activities you have planned or are trying to decide on planning! I think my only complaint would be the neighbor next door and his affinity for playing techno music very loudly on his outdoor speakers at odd hours (early morning, late at night, middle of the night). Leo, the property manager was wonderful though and helped us immediately when we complained about the noise, and also helped us with all of our excursions, car rentals, and questions throughout our stay! We loved the house though and will certainly be back to Belize!

Perfect location, wonderful home!
Perfect location, wonderful home in a quiet part of the peninsula. Beautiful beach and views from the home. Loved stargazing from the upper deck. The house had everything we needed.

Paradise!
What a great property! I’m so glad we pulled the trigger on this listing. It was the perfect size for my family of four. Both of my 20ish old sons had their own room which they appreciated. So many places to lounge -a favorite of mine was the wooden chairs on the beach for family chats. For solo reading, I loved the hammock under the palm trees. My guys said it was one of their favorite family vacations. I hope we can come back soon. Thanks Christine!!

Great getaway in Placencia
We had a 10-day stay at Casa de La Vista with our family of 2 adults and 2 kids, and had a great time. The house is well-equipped and we really enjoyed the paddleboards. Although it was 'rainy' season, we had plenty of days of clear weather, and when it did rain it eventually cleared up within a couple of hours. The water was a little murky per other reviews, but the murkiness came and went with the storms. It didn't stop us from enjoying the ocean. Regarding jellyfish, I'm sure my kids got stung, but they didn't notice and refused to stay out of the water :-). The location is great in terms of distance from Plancencia Village and activities off Hummingbird Hwy. Leo, the on-site house manager, was very helpful in arranging tours and providing background regarding the culture and people of Belize. Only downside, which is completely out of the owner's control, is if you get noisy neighbors in the rental home next door. Mid-stay there was a large group that was generally respectful, but the homes are fairly close, and we definitely noticed the noise when we were trying to have a quiet day at the house and relax/read outside.

Perfect Paradise
Beautiful location for this island home. The owners were receptive to getting back to us quickly and so nice to have the drinking water set up in the kitchen for our use. Loved the privacy and relaxing on both upstairs and lower level porches. Great for lounging and eating our family meals. Plenty of lounges to relax. Loved the pool for cooling off on hot days. The master bedroom was wonderful. The kitchen had everything to cook meals. We added a few spices that we picked up at the local market. Several nice places to eat . We liked Maya beach restaurant , what a great breakfast they serve. Nice neighbors that provided some great tips on local excursions while there. Definitely would come back to Belize in the near future.

Amazing place!
Very clean house in a great location and is very private and quiet. Nice covered patios and a great pool to cool off in. Christine provides great instructions for the house and the area, the check in/out process was very smooth. House is as described and will not disappoint! We will definitely be back.

Piece of paradise
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa de la Vista. The accommodations were great with amazing views of the ocean. We all slept well in very comfortable beds listening to the waves every night. The care taker was also very helpful in setting up daily activities for us.

Relaxing Getaway
My family and I stayed for nearly a week at this property. Christine and Leo were awesome to work with! Leo planned our two excursions and Christine provided all pertinent information. We ate out mostly but there is a store right down the street to pick up goods. Leo had our rental car waiting on us when we arrived. The pool was a great place to cool down in the Belizean heat. The home was clean and had plenty of fresh linens! Tips: We went during the "rainy season" as the locals call it. We did not have much rain except for one bad storm while we were there. However, due to it being rainy season, the water near the shore was murky. If you go during this time, I highly recommend not going in the water. My son went in twice and got stung by a jellyfish each time. A local woman informed me that they come in during the "rainy season" but was very happy and eager to help my son when he got stung (the local people are so nice!) Restaurants: We enjoyed the Maya Beach Bistro but it was surprisingly not our favorite after all the positive reviews we've seen. The peanut butter brittle ice cream there and the breakfast are the only two reasons to go! Dinner at night was much better at the Green Parrot and Bonefish Grille. Plus, if you have kids, each of these businesses allow children to swim, utilize hammocks, or even buy a local fisherman's catch for the restaurant to cook at their dock as long you are a paying customer. For being third world, the restaurants were actually higher than the restaurants we have at home. It did not bother us any because we tend not to be on a budget on vacation but I wanted to let others know in case they are. Excursions: We snorkeled which I highly recommend to anyone going to Belize! Local guides will take you to areas that look like a post card! We also went to the Monkey River Village. It is hot and loaded with bugs but it is worth it to be able to see the jungle! Highly recommend it! Thanks Christine and Leo! We look forward to booking again in the future when we are finally done touring the entire Caribbean.

Amazing!
Everything was exactly as described. We had a wonderful beach/ocean view. Plenty of space for 6 adults. The pool is not heated which makes it perfect for cooling down. Leo and Christine are both very responsive. We watched manatees from our deck, Sean in the ocean and relaxed by the pool. We would absolutely stay here again!
