"The place was clean and felt very cosy. It was clearly newly refurbished and was clean. The beds were not too great though. In one of the bedrooms the wooden boards under the mattress were loose and had to put back in place. That is when it became clear they had better all be replaced. "We stopped here for one night on the way to the Alps. It was excellent. The staff were genuinely exceptional. They were there for us for a very late check in (02:00) and smiling as if it was mid afternoon. The beds were really comfortable and massive. We were four in one room and there was plenty of space. Then breakfast was really nice. Simple but well done and the lady in charge just super helpful. We left with the impression that they really care. That’s increasingly rare these days. Thank you to all the staff who looked after us. "
