The resort was ok. Definitely was expecting more since it stated 5 stars. The room was ok. Had a moldy smell to it. The pillows were very hard and bed was worn down. When we called for room service it was not a friendly experience. But now for the good review. The servers at the Buffett was super sweet. Very attentive and remembered our drinks. Overall the property had a lot of potential if they took time into it to update.

The food is subpar. Cold, and not much variety for any type of dietary restrictions. Barely any veggie options, all pork/beef/chicken. Also the beach is terrible. There aren’t towels you have to bring your own from the room. I’ve never been to a hotel or resort like that. There are always towels at the beach.

The staff is always excellent, this was our our second time here. A few things we’re spoiled at other places, they don’t provide here. Towels poolside, wine in your room. All wine is bad unless you pay extra. Food is mediocre as well as entertainment. The beach is not good, very rocky in the water. However, Great beachside food and bar. The pools are nice, two swim up bars, one is party time one is laid back. Our swim out was great! The gym is very nice!!! Also enjoyed at night they have live music, great setting/atmosphere. Overall a 4 star stay for us.

De manière général on a vraiment apprécié notre séjour. Service exceptionnel (surtout Bryan le serveur du buffet!) Par contre, je trouvais que les installations auraient pu être mieux entretenu. We had the WORST experience at this place! DO NOT let them put you in building #2 !! Anything starting with a 2… 2107 was the room we stayed in and it smelled like mold/must terrible! I never write a bad review but this was awful. My allergies were insane. Also the Coati things were on our balcony, pooping a d peeing all over! one night when I came back into the room, a Coati was IN. The room!! Getting into our snacks! We moved to building 5 after 3 nights and that was better, but they were not helpful in getting our reservations fixed or helping us extend our stay because our flights were delayed!! I will never go back to this resort!! The ONLY bright point of the whole resort was the staff upon entry. Israel, and Javier were Amazing! They helped with any situation we had. Rafael in the lobby was helpful too, but Israel and Javier were the best.

If you’re younger than 60 years old and enjoy doing activities at the resort, don’t stay at this location. You’ll have a better time at the family resort-princess sunset. This hotel felt outdated. The elevators worked half the time. A majority of the staff seemed like they didn’t want to be there with an exception of a couple people working. Every time we asked for a golf cart ride to the sister property, the bell hops acted like it was an inconvenience when they weren’t doing anything. The food was below average at the buffet and at one point we were severed raw chicken. The sit down restaurants on the property were decent. The alcoholic beverages were subpar. The piña coladas and other blends drinks tasted like fake flavors. The best drinks were two ingredient drinks like rum/coke or rum/pineapple juice. The beach on the adults only side was alright. We spent more time over at the sister resort because overall the vibe was better and more enjoyable. If you’re going to spend your money, make sure to really research the hotels. If we come back we will be going to the Princess Sunset Resort.
