“Please beware this place has a bug infestation and it’s so hard to get in and communicate with the people for the code. We couldn’t even stay because it was inhabitable. I reached out directly and they said they couldn’t do anything about it. Please save your time and money! my family had to look for another place around three in the morning. Such a hassle”

Al despertar al día siguiente y salir de la cama vimos que las sábanas tenían manchas de los huéspedes anteriores. El lavamanos e inodoro no estaban limpios, los paños usados. En resumen, la habitación no fue limpiada. Una experiencia muy desagrable. Reportamos lo ocurrido a nuestro contacto, y decidimos abandonar el hotel y buscar otro……

“Location was good, looked forward to it. But the place was completely unacceptable. Everything was filthy. No dish towels to contemplate cleaning the dirty dishes. That didn't matter much, the fridge wouldn't cool anything. Sinks were filthy. Shower area filthy. Weird electrical buzzing noise. Air conditioning was useless. Doesn't matter, the second bed in the main living area was impossible to even attempt to cool as there was no way to close the windows completely in all but the bedroom. There……

“Baliyana Lodge is a slice of paradise - beautifully landscaped grounds among the native trees on a hillside overlooking a valley towards the ocean. Remote but only 15 mins to the beach and 25 mins to Tamarindo. The hosts could not have been nicer, wonderful, healthy breakfast included, quiet, peaceful and serene location. “It is true this is off the beaten track and very quiet except the dogs barking at 3am. Unfortunately when we arrived the bed was crawling with ants. there were 2 holes in the wall that the ants were crawling out of. The property manager's solution was to use a can of raid and duck tape the holes. We had booked for 5 nights but left after 1 night. We found much more comfortable accommodations in Tamarindo. The pictures on the website are not an accurate reflection of the current place. There are……
