"The house itself was fantastic and the pool was awesome. The only downfall was the airport was listed as 60 miles away; however, that 60 miles takes 2 1/2 hours to get to the house. The town of Nosara was listed as 20 minutes away but it took us almost an hour to get there because of the condition of the gravel road."

"Iris the owner was very communicative and responsive. At the house, we were greeted by Louie who was the caretaker. Very sweet man who showed us around and was available anytime through WhatsApp to answer any questions we had. The house was clean and comfortable and decorated nicely. "Casa Maya has exceeded our expectations many times over. Not only is everything new, as the house has just been completed - this dream villa is in a great location. In addition to incredible animal life, a completely private atmosphere awaits you here. The fantastic view of the ocean and jungle is unique and the sunsets are one of a kind. Our 3 most favorite beaches are only 15 minutes away. There were only two of us in this great villa and we really enjoyed it - the villa is huge and has 7 bedrooms. It is on three levels and with 2 huge pools. In the evenings we took a soak in the hot tub jacuzzi! On the second level there is a big terrace with BBQ grill and large bar. The manager even got us a private chef.! The Villa is beautifully decorated and the whole house is equipped with central A/C, stable Wi-Fi and a generator. We had our breakfast on the terrace in the company of howler monkeys and birds in the trees above!! This villa was better equipped than our house at home. We did so much in 1 week here: saw turtles hatch, went on a boat tour, snorkeled and did a quad tour to the waterfall. All of this was organized for us by the rental manager of the house, who was helpful and super organized. He made our stay unforgettable in the sense of the word. We highly recommend this villa and had a dream vacation as a couple- we definitely going to come back and plan a family gathering here. This was truly one of the best places we ever stayed booking trough VRBO. "

"We found the home comfortable and very clean (and I'm picky about cleanliness). It is located in a remote area, a half hour drive to restaurants/stores, and is peaceful and serene. The pool was nice, and we enjoyed seeing the nearby wildlife. The howler monkeys hung around the entire week we were there. Our friend stayed in the lower level and the sofa/bed was comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped and we felt welcome. As this was the first vacation rental for the owners, we left a list of comfort items that will be helpful for future guests. It was a pleasant stay, and Udo, the property manager, was very nice and responsive. "
