"Staff was great! Restaurant was great. The room works for a place to shower and sleep. The AC was crazy loud in our room and expect it to be loud outside until 1am. If you want a luxury stay and quiet it’s not your spot. But prime location to close down the bar and pass out."
"We (3 adults and 2 children, 10 and 13) had a wonderful time at El Conquistador. The room (with a balcony and ocean view) was huge, with plenty of room for everything. (One update needed--a large 'magnifying' mirror by the sink)
Everything was nice and clean, too.
As for the resort itself, it is HUGE! It is actually on three levels. We stayed on the top level, where most of the restaurants, shops, and activities are, as well as the wonderful coffee bar, Cafecito.
But many opt to stay at the lower level, to be near the amazing waterpark and the free ferry to the beautiful Palamino beach.
Both of these (free) activities were great. The kids couldn't get enough of the waterpark!
Also there were many pools, even open after dark! A real treat...
There is so much more I could write, but I will finish by saying that it was a great experience for us all--both kids and adults.
As for the food, it was overall, excellent. Some of the reviews panned the food, but we disagreed and ate at a different restaurant almost every night.
The service was great--a special shout out to:
Yajaira (at the entry to the waterpark--she's the best!))
Janine (at Ventana)
Gian and Hector (at the waterpark restaurant)
Alix (in housekeeping)

Private Ocean Front Via Maris Villa with Big Pool @ Culebra, Recently Refreshed!
6/10 Okay
"Pretty accurate description. The biggest issue was the gap in the patio door that allowed for a ton of mosquitos to fly in a snack on the guests. Second is the "
Studio en suite, king/twin beds sleep 3, multi-deck views, early access bag drop
10/10 Excellent
"This place is a gem! Off the beaten path, but close to everything. Views are lovely and the shared decks are well maintained and furnished. Studio had everything you need (2 middle aged adults and an 19yo nephew) and kitchen was surprisingly well equipped. Beds are VERY comfy. We would absolutely return and would want to extend our stay next time around! "
"We stayed one night prior to a stay at a rental villa. Our room as a little cramped but the property itself was clean and comfortable with a decent communal area downstairs, although we didn't realize that until we were about to leave.
The check-in and out process was self-service & simple so we didn't really meet staff in that regard, however, one of our boys left his watch in the room and the cleaner rushed out to return it to us as we were leaving which was much appreciated."
"We booked for a couple of nights to tag on to a longer stay at a rental villa and are really glad that we did. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is great for access into town. The rooms are comfortable & decent sized for the price, especially with breakfast included. The grounds are beautiful and a real bonus for those with children who want to explore."
On the beach, a private pool, a house all to yourself.
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful location. Easy beach access (renter even had beach chairs, umbrella, and a cooler) Renter provided a welcome package as well. We did not have to purchase supplies such as trash bags, toilet paper, washing supplies, coffee, etc. WIFI is excellent as is the air conditioning. We even made the 1 mile walk into town and never felt unsafe."
"Loves everything about this place except the roosters next door for my daily 4am alarm. Can’t fault the property for that and will definitely look to stay here again but will bring ear plugs next time"
