「We vacationed with our children and their families. The house was very clean and met all of our needs. You need to bring most of your food, as the only grocery is a small IGA market and a Dollar General. The local gift shop was awesome offering a coffee bar and baked goods along with souvenirs. The area is pretty secluded but very close to Snowshoe Mountain resort where we got day passes for swimming. Also, the historical town of Cass featured train rides and little shops. 「Exactly what we wanted - remote and with a good view of the night sky for stargazing. Directions were accurate and it was easy to get the keys and get in. Might want to come back sometime!」

「We enjoyed our time at the Bears Den. We were looking to escape and relax and that was easily done here. A few notes: we were short on the number of bath towels initially but found the extra bath towels in the dryer. Unfortunately they had sat wet in the dryer and were musty-requiring washing before being used.The kitchen was well stocked with cooking items for the most part but there were no pot holders which would have come in handy with the countertop oven—there was only one dish towel. 「Nice clean cabin. Great location for riding the Greenbrier Trail…only a couple of minutes to the trail on bikes. Easy checkin/checkout. The snacks, water, and chilled beer mugs were a treat. Cute table and chairs on the porch for outdoor dining. Enjoyed sitting by the fire pit as well. Enjoyed our stay!」
