"Friendly staff, good pub and quick service. The breakfast was nice however there was a lack of drinks there were no juices on offer or herbal teas or alternative milks. The room was so spacious and there were no issues with noice. The room had everything we needed in it. I would recommend brining your own shampoo and conditioner as there was only a 2 in 1 in the shower. The room was clean too. The only thing I think should be highlighted of a safety concern is that in the hallway on the stairs a light was broken with a live wire exposed, please get that fixed. Good stay for the price though!"

"Its a nice hotel with good size room staff help. Its a cab ride into town centre. (6 minutes £8) or bus ride a little longer D6 every hour. "

"The room was big and had everything you could want there. We got breakfast and that too was lovely. The staff were also very good and nothing was too much. But more importantly the help was there if needed"

"Recently thoroughly enjoyed a two night stay at The Old Vicarage, having visited in Sept 2025, I immediately booked again for Feb 2026. Once again the location was idyllic, our room and shared kitchen were excellent. The owners Gerry & Patricia were fabulous hosts, the dogs Frank & Elsa were very welcoming and the kitten Jennifer was lovely. The breakfasts, both full English and scrambled eggs with salmon were outstanding. In the afternoon we visited the nearby Heart of the Shires Shopping Village which was a wonderful journey back in time with a variety of outlets which made us smile. In the evening we had a meal at the nearby White Hart Pub Restaurant. The Indian Food on offer was without doubt some of the best which I have tasted. I will most certainly return to The Old Vicarage in the future. "

"Check-in and check-out were very smooth. The room was spotless and the amenities were excellent, including the well-stocked small fridge with food and snacks. The weather was exceptionally cold during our stay, and unfortunately the small heater wasn’t quite enough to keep the room comfortably warm."
