“We had the most wonderful stay at Gert and Gus’s place in Margaree Harbour! From the moment we arrived, they gave us such a lovely welcome and were incredibly helpful with suggestions for things to do in the area. The location couldn’t be better -perfect for exploring Cape Breton Highlands National Park and the many gorgeous local beaches (and there are so many to choose from!). We loved using the driving range and taking our morning walk to the river for a float/dip.The place is even better……

“We stayed a full week here and loved every minute. The host was incredibly supportive with clear directions and check ins throughout the stay. These four separate units sit on a cliff overlooking the Gulf of St. Lawrence. There’s a well-designed trail/pea-gravel road down the 135 foot hill to Chimney Corner Beach in Mabou Bay. The layout of the place is great with a beautiful great room and kitchen; great beach chairs in the basement to make it easy to hit the beach, a short ¼ mile down the……

“These quaint log cabins were just the right size for the two of us. The on-site manager was friendly and helpful. Quiet, clean and comfortable but an easy drive to many sites around Cape Breton. Would definitely stay there again. ”

“We walked in the door and looked around. Literally everything you could ask for was in the cabin. Layout is beautiful, screened in deck is very nice. Temp control is great. There were toys inside for the kids to play with. Just an amazing experience run by great people. Definitely recommend ”

“My father, cousin and her husband from Ireland, and friends from Nova Scotia and I spent two nights here in July. It was fabulous. The location and views of the coastline are beautiful. We had our small puppy with us and management had a dog bed and dishes set up for our arrival. The beds were fabulous with new bedding and the cabin was spotless. Management has thought of everything including terry cloth housecoats for you to use with the hot tubs. A wonderful experience all around!”

The owner met us as we arrived and we proceeded to get a brief tour of the property. They have thought of everything! Comfortable, functional yet stylish - the design aesthetics are beautiful and clearly considered throughout. We loved the hot tub and outdoor shower. Beautiful sunsets. “Lovely place! Very clean! The owner lives on the premises and it makes a difference.very comfortable beds and great location! The only thing that was not accurate as my booting amenities is that you have to pay to use the washing and drying machine.”
