"We were extremely happy with our 3 nights stay at Gabaa. Staff were superb. All the cabins were hidden amongst the nature, making it must more relaxing and enjoyable. Property was very quiet and had plenty of privacy. Hiruni and Eranda and also everyone else were always available and made our stay memorable. My kids didn’t want to leave the property. Rooms very spacious and AC was worked perfectly. We got some tea and food and they were authentic."

The bathroom had mold/fungus growing, sink was blocked showerhead could almost not give any water. "The staff at the location were very nice and friendly. The cabins were comfortable and had nice air conditioning, though lots of gaps for mosquitos and other bugs to enter. The term “resort” implies high end accommodations and I would not describe this location as that. This is more like camping in town. The biggest problem I had was: I was told a price through communication via VRBO. I was directed to pay a certain amount online and finalize the payment upon checkout from Gabaa. At checkout I...

"The standout from this place was the pool. Easily the best to date in Lanka. It runs directly East to West so has the sun permanently on it, making it lovely and warm. It also appears in very good nick so I would guess is relatively new. The room was pleasantly adequate with no complaints. The odd thing was there was no reception as such so to find someone, I discovered ‘hollering’ ended up being the best way. "I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Absolutely fantastic. Asela is so helpful and even takes you in his tuk tuk into town should you require anything. The property is beautifully maintained. I recommend that you take advantage of the magnificent tradition Sri Lankan home cooked dinner. It was delicious and and so cheap and we did that twice."
