The hotel had its older days of glory. I requested in advance to be picked up at the airport, no one replied. They DON’T TAKE FOREIGN CREDIT CARDS, and wasn't warned prior to my trip, which lead to a 3 hour ordeal trying to check out - manager decides to go out to lunch although I am trying to sort things out. They offer daily yoga and meditation, yet I got none because the instructor wasn’t feeling well, and never got a substitute, never canceled in advance they just let you show up at 7am to an empty yoga studio. Tried the gym instead, had to clean myself because all equipment is out of place and very dirty, weight plates on the machine are so rusty that it should be out of order. Power outages are very frequent. Food was always good, they have a good selection of international and Indian cuisine, plus hipo toxic and low carb food that make for tasty options when detoxing. Restaurant staff were always flawless in their service, except for the last day when a waiter laugh at me on my face. When asked what is included in the 3 day beauty package (worth like 300USD) the answer was: -it’s like some massages and some juices”, Quite disappointing, and Im leaving petty details out of the review

Good property.Need improvements.
We stayed here for 3 days from 17th June at Bamboo House. Few of the amenities were not working. Booked the hotel through Expedia. Need more info. reg. the rooms. Staff and housekeeping were good. Food was okay. The property is big and they had bicycles for moving inside the property. The bicycles were not in good condition. The swimming pool, kids playing area, were far from the room. Swimming pool is small. The amenities in kids playing area were in not good condition. It becomes very hot between 11.00am to 4.30pm. You cannot stay inside the room. They need to put coolers inside the rooms which are not having ac's.
Very bad experience... hotel staffs are behaving like a gundaas

It's k hotel for a non seasonal time.
Food was good. Stay was k. Location is the best. Private beach not so clean but you have lot of personal space. Staffs were courteous but needs a lot of improvement not up to the standard. Just an instance one of the guys who guided us to the room was having chinikani in his mouth and looked soo drunk, something you really don't want to see. Restaurant staffs were pretty better and maintained the etiquette. I would suggest others to go the hotel may be 50 50. Not sure it's was not too good or too worse an OK hotel. Defenitly pricing is too high for the rooms can bring down at least 20% i think that's worth it.
This hotel used to be quite good about 10 years ago. Now it's simply not worth the price. Service is extremely slow and laid back, plus they are severely understaffed. The quality of the staff are also nothing to write home about. Rooms are also not too clean and the sofas are downright dirty. The couches in the dining area are filthy. No Wi-Fi, no cable TV. Any food left outside your room in the sit out area will get eaten by dogs that are roaming the property.
This place is in need of a serious makeover.
Majoitusvaihtoehtona dune on semi OK. Hotellin miinukset (Huonetta ei ollut siivottu, mastercard ei toiminut paikassa koko pitkän viikonlopun aikana, wifi toimii vain rajatuilla alueilla, ravintolassa hidas palvelu, ravintolatunnelmaa häiritsevät varislinnut, jotka pöydästä noustessa käyvät pöydillä sotkemassa, tekemisen puute auringon laskettua) Plussat: (rauhallinen miljöö, ystävällinen henkilökunta) Hetkelliseen pysähdykseen hyvä, mutta enemmän toimintaa kaipaavan kannattaa suunnata lähemmäs Pondicherryn keskustaa.

We had a great time at Dune- the staff was attentive and polite. The property's access to the beach is just right and the private beach is well maintained. I have one complaint which is that it is not very senior citizen friendly. The property is huge which can be very difficult for a senior citizen or differently-abled person to get around- Dune needs to work on it's accessibility to a great extent. Even getting out the property is done with the help of a buggy or local conveyance (as they do not allow cars within the premises) but getting into the buggy was a huge hassle for senior citizens as it is very high. Dune is great in every other way except their attention to making the property easier on old folks and the differently-abled which is a huge area of improvement for them.
The place is outdated and not very well maintained. The staff are very laid back and service is slow. Food is not good. I had stayed here when the hotel opened newly and i did like the place. I would never stay again or would recommend to anyone.

Fresh air and relaxation!
I had accidently booked for a month later and they made no problem about accommodating us. The fresh unpolluted air by the sea was so wonderful after spending much time in India. The garden was so lovely and colourful.we had a very relaxing trip. The room was a bit disappointing. Food was lovely.

Poor service IN restaurant
Dead car Left IN the premise ON the way to the pool
Vegetal residues everywhere
Place could be a lot cleaner for the price
Had an overall lovely stay though the villa we stayed was really primitive and unfortunately there was a festival during the days we were there which meant that loud music was playing from the local temple from 4 am in the morning. It keept us sleepless!
Stayed there for 3 nights and 4 days and the place was fantastic! The concept of the resort is fresh and is unlike any other place you will come across in India. A beautiful place, exciting in terms of accommodation and amenities and kudos to the warm and courteous staff, especially Mr. Umapathy. The highlight of the trip for me was the beach! Silvery sands, pristine waters and lush green foliage lining the resort, with just about 1 or 2 other people on the beach with you. What more could you ask for?
We booked ECO room , good experience. Typical village stay essence. Good food. Awesome service in SPA. Cool pool for relax. Good place for chill out with Family.
Without a doubt the most beautiful place we stayed during our trip to India. The help we received from the hotel staff, especially Umapathy, was priceless. He really knows how to make an incredible experience even better for guests. The food at the restaurant was fantastic and it's farm to table.
We stayed in Granite 2 and it was gorgeous. Would love to be able to come back and stay in another theme.

lovely place to leisure
Different experience by staying in different atmosphere.
Very happy being here and spending a night with family, We have taken Flex House which is close proximity to Childrens play area, Swimming pool & Beach, our house had a small pond and a nice view. Kids have througly enjoyed the stay with bicycles to roam around in the Resort... There are many concept house. We will try a different house next time
What an awesome place! I came with two friends from work in nearby Chennai. It's a 3hr drive away. We wanted somewhere close to Pondicherry, but not another AC city Hotel. We had two houses, the Flower House and Baywatch 1. Both interesting properties. The Flower House through, was just incredible. It's a open sided house with a high fence perimeter, inside a massive four poster queen size bed (with Mosquito net) and seperate double bed. Open air shower, toilet and basins, covered by the roof. Amazing Garden. No TV, no car horns, no AC - perfect for getting away from Chennai for the weekend. Beach is good and very quiet, restaurants and spa are all good too. I can't recomend this place enough if you want a comfortable back to nature experiance. Each house has a bicycle for you to use to get around on. Loads of individual properties, spaced out over quite a big area. Pool is nice too. You have to try this place!
The service provided is excellent. Lot of activities available to keep kids happy, and even for adults. Good ambience and well maintained. Beach access is good too. I stayed in the garden AC room and felt it is a bit expensive especially considering that food was not included (only breakfast included in the price).
