“The property is only half finished. It is 5star accommodation on a building site. Luciano who was the main man there could not have been more generous with his time and hospitality, and he turned what might have been an average stay into a pleasant stay. The roads or should I say dust tracks to get to the property are interesting and we had great times on the quad bikes scooting around on them. Ponto de Ouro was a fascinating place. “The staff were sweet and the restaurant was great. However there is a general lack of maintenance . Wasn’t just us, on speaking to other guests they all had issues with their rooms.
We had three rooms
1) First room had a leak in the roof- occasionally. Probably when upstairs was showering
2) Second room -Electricity kept tripping and needed to be continually requested to switch back on
3) third room had an underground leak which FLOODED the entire room. Twice! Eventually after 2 nights of……
