“We booked and prepaid five nights but checked out after one night (30 to 31 December) because the room did not meet basic expectations. The room was generally unclean and poorly maintained. The AC did not work properly and made unusually loud noises at night. The bathroom had a strong unpleasant odor, a cracked and stained sink, damaged taps, and at times there was no running water. The toilet cistern was leaking and made loud continuous noise. The curtain did not fully cover the glass door……

“This was a beautiful location. Hard to get to... 3 hours drive from Maputo and you basically have to hire a driver. The staff was warm and lovely and always wanting to help make the vacation ideal. I was 1 of 6 guests for a couple of nights - and it was incredibly peaceful. be prepared for a serious dose of relaxing as it's 45 min to other more happening beach areas. I did not try the water activities as it was out of season/quite cold in June. I'd say the only disappointment was the "all……
