Kitchen had everything except a pizza cutter, but just used a knife and everything was all good. The 'Hen House" is very clean and has everything need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We have recommended this quiet getaway to friends and family.

This was a very convenient location to stay while visiting the Olympic national Park and also heading over for the day to Victoria. The place is very comfortable and homey. There are many special touches that make it a nice place to stay. We’d definitely stay here again!

Wonderful location

We were given an upgrade to the Sea Breeze so we didn't get to see the inside of this property. The area is very quiet and the views are amazing. The host was very responsive and we loved our upgrade.

Great place to stay!

This rental was a great place to stay during our trip to the Pacific Northwest. We went to the scenic overlook our first evening to watch an incredible sunset over the water. I was also privileged to see an owl peacefully sitting in a tree next door one morning. This rental was a great place to hang out after a day of spending time at the national park or hanging out in port Angeles

Our stay in Port Angeles

Loved the property, the beautiful hiking trails, the mountain views and that we could hear the waves at night. The accommodations were a bit more rundown than expected (new mattresses would help), but overall it was cozy and had the added benefit, for us, of being within walking distance of family.

Great place with a stunning beach

An absolutely magical place to stay. Deer were walking through the neighborhood at all hours of the day. The beach is a five minute walk, and incredibly calm and quiet. Home was very comfy, though perhaps not suited for those with alektorophobia.

Cozy Stay near Olympic

This is a great place to vacation near Olympic National Park and Forks. This VRBO had everything we needed and the process of checking in and out is very simple. We loved that the host gave access to several trails around the home, one leading to the ocean. This was a nice touch for those visiting the area to enjoy the outdoors!

Beautiful place

We really enjoyed the central location to all of the Olympic National parks. It was quiet and serene. The deer that roam the property are really something. The eagles nest with the 2 baby eagles were great also! The beach access reminds me of a little escape to something so unexpected before reaching the beach! We had a lovely time and hope to go back again.

Best stay ever in a trailer

The property is an 80 foot fully equipped trailer in a great location. Host was extremely helpful and friendly. Very quiet area with, t times, some very friendly deer chowing down about 20 feet away . Also two very private trails available. One along a half mile stretch of beach and the other on top of a 300 foot high bluff overlooking Juan de Fuca strait.

The Hen House

The Hen House is located in a quiet senior living trailer park with about 20 older, but well-maintained, trailers. The area is peaceful, with access to some lovely nature trails and an overlook of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Just minutes from the Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge and about 20 minutes from Port Angeles, it made for a convenient home base during our tour of the Olympic Peninsula. The trailer itself is somewhat dated and had a faint musty smell, but it was very clean and thoughtfully decorated with charming chicken-themed touches throughout. The living room furniture is on the older side, and the well-worn couch could definitely use replacing. The outdoor space, however, was a highlight—serene and full of wildlife. We frequently saw deer wandering nearby, and were even lucky enough to spot a bald eagle landing in the tree just outside the home. There’s a trail leading down to the water, but be aware—it’s steep and narrow in places, better suited for the adventurous. We made the hike and were rewarded with a quiet, secluded beach bordered by dramatic cliffs.Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would be happy to return.

Don’t hesitate to book this property

We stayed 3 nights while hiking in the area. It is a little outside of Port Angeles but not an inconvenience at all. When we got back in the evenings, we enjoyed walking the trails right there and the beach access was incredible with amazing sunsets. We are avid hikers and have stayed in many rentals and this has been one of our favorites so far. More than enough room for the 3 of us (husband and 17 year old). Well stocked, didn’t need a thing. The extra bathroom was such a plus. Very comfortable. The deer that greeted us every morning and evening—divine. You won’t regret booking this property and a huge thank you to the host for sharing it.

This was a fine place to spend a few days on the Olympic Peninsula. The space is part of what is essentially an appealingly manicured and nicely kept up grounded mobile home park overlooking an impressive water vista. Each lot seems to be themed with a bird motif like sparrows, peacocks, and eagles – our Hen House was done up with cute chicken-and-egg decor! We had a very short walk to the main viewing point, where we saw an absolutely sensational sunset, viewed boats in the distance, and spied a couple bald eagles roosting in nearby tall trees. The nature trails are neat and worth walking, though some of them were kind of steep. The beach trail would be pretty tough for those who have any kind of mobility issues, but the destination is worth it if you can do it. There’s a little lagoon with croaking frogs and a beach that’s part sand and part rocks that has big pieces of driftwood on it for that classic PNW look and feel.We appreciated the well-appointed kitchen, especially suited for coffee and tea drinkers. Everything we needed was provided for in the kitchen, laundry, and bathrooms. The master suite had a really comfy bed and a nice soaking tub.The deck gave us wonderful views of snow-capped peaks. The location is highly accessible to Olympic National Park. Lake Crescent, Sol Duc Falls, and Hurricane Ridge are all within an hour’s drive. We were well satisfied with our lodging choice.

The property is an older trailer in a wonderful spot along the coast line. All of the other trailers are very well kept with manicured lawns with lots of deer grazing around the property. The inside of the trailer is definitely dated to the 70's and 80's but everything works and the appliances are fairly updated. Extremely clean inside and out. The location is excellent for walking and hiking. And it is extremely laid back and quiet in this area. Close to two towns (about 15 minutes to either one.) We had a wonderful time staying here and would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. If you are looking for a comfortable, safe, quiet, and convenient location then this is a great choice.

Peaceful trailer in beautiful area

We were blown away by the beauty that surrounds this trailer park. It provided a quiet and serene place for us to come back to after a day of exploring. Hurricane Ridge was so close to here. Lake Crescent, Forks, Bogachiel Rainforst, Port Townsend, and several waterfalls were within an hour and a half or so drive. The Sunny Farms grocery store was perfect for us and had the most fresh chicken we’ve ever had. We cooked most of our dinners here and it was well stocked with everything we needed. The nature trails to the overlook were nice, though a bit hard to access if you have any mobility issues. We attempted to go down to the beach, but it was too steep even for our 40 something bodies. My husband made it down quite a bit, but decided to come back up. I made it down until there was a very large step that I couldn’t safely make it down (and back up). We loved the deer and the babies that greeted us throughout the days. They were so fun to watch!! The beds were comfortable and the tub was nice to soak in after a day of hiking. Our 19 year old son loved sitting on the veranda off the second bedroom and enjoying the peaceful view. There are a few suggestions we have for upkeep, but we will contact the owners directly as they didn’t impede on our stay. Overall, I would highly recommend this property if you aren’t looking for an upscale property and want a safe and quiet place for a home base while exploring ONP.
