Outside, you'll enjoy amazing views from the deck, a picnic space on the shaded patio, a firepit where you can tell stories each evening, and a new dock for fishing!

This canalside home is located in a quiet community on the southern end of the Port Bolivar Peninsula, an easy, five-minute drive from the beach. This home is perfect for anyone who wants to escape the touristy attractions of the big city. Enjoy a peaceful stroll along 27 miles of beach, climb the Point Bolivar Lighthouse, or launch one of the two provided kayaks into the water and explore the shoreline of Galveston Bay.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Beautiful place, but still needs improvement
The property was beautiful, but it getting ahold of the right person was difficult to say the least We were not familiar with crystal beach and didn’t realize the ferry was a minimum 1 hour wait to get from Galveston to crystal beach (port bolivar). The description lists all of the local attractions stating they are 4-9 miles away. This is highly deceiving because what they fail to mention is that it’s a 1 hour ferry ride to get to those places since they are all located in Galveston island. This does not mean crystal beach isn’t entertaining, but the listing didn’t provide any crystal beach attraction which made entertaining the family a bit more difficult. I tried to reach a property manager to speak with someone local, but that was another set of problems. We tried every way possible to reach a property owner/manager. I was receiving emails from Vacasa and VRBO as well as text messages from different numbers from Vacasa about my stay and there was a ridiculous amount of information on each email. I tried to contact the number listed in an email which directed me to a call center. First time I called the call center was to get an exception for my brothers dog. They never called me back. We went ahead and boarded the dog since we needed to hit the road to take advantage of our stay. The next day I called the call center to ask about the built in mosquito sprayer on the property which wasn’t working well. They said they would call me back. I told him the last person said the same thing. He reassured me that he was going to call the property manager very quickly and call me back. I asked if it was possible to contact them myself. He said it was against policy to give out that contact information. He said he would call within the hour. He didn’t. We called back later that evening and I spoke with an amazing lady who didn’t hang up the phone until she got me in contact with the right person! I finally received a call from the property manager, Gina! I was so disappointed that it took my entire stay to finally get to the right person, but my concerns were finally being heard! She explained the mosquito situation, but I forgot to mention that we were never given the code for the kayaks so we weren’t able to enjoy those! Honestly, we would probably stay here again since we know what to expect, but it was frustrating when you are paying nightly for a place and you’re not getting your concerns addressed during your stay.

Cute House with Unique View
We (4 adult friends) enjoyed our stay. We were on the Galveston Bay side instead of the Gulf of Mexico side but that was perfectly okay for us. We watched barges pushed by tugboats come and go and we appreciated how quiet the location was. The house has great deck furniture! The only negative things about the house are 1. we called for the code to the shed to get access to the kayaks and paddles and the code didn’t work (must have recently been changed but not communicated to property management). 2. There were some basic condiments but no salt and pepper which should be standard as well as foil. We had to go out to buy some. 3. The mattresses are not comfortable and the pillows are all really flat. One other comment in working with Vacasa is that they aren’t the easiest to get ahold of. They never responded to my inquiries via the Vrbo site or texts. Otherwise this house was great and we enjoyed our getaway!

Beautiful & Spacious Home
The home is very nice and very spacious. We loved everything about the house itself. Loved the large hallways, the decor, the barn-style doors, etc. The four reasons, I gave this a final three-star review is one, the surrounding area was not that great. Across the street, you can see a nice gated community, but that was about it, the other side and the rest of the areas were not-so-nice. The second reason is that we found dead roaches in the kitchen on the first night we got there. We didn't think much, since they were dead, but the next morning we killed a live one on the counter. The third reason is that the TV in Bedroom 2 didn't work. And the remote to the ceiling fan to Bedroom 1 didn't work so you either had to have the light on with the fan or nothing on at all. The fourth reason was that there were no kayaks on the property even though it said and pictured kayaks. We ended up leaving the night before our next morning check-in. Luckily most of those things can be fixed for future stays.

Very nice
This property is very nice, we had a great time. The layout was nice and it was well equipped. I would have given 5 stars but one of the TV’s did not work and I was told someone would come out to look at it but maintenance did not. Unfortunately it was in the room with the bunk beds and occupied the most people. I would definitely go back.

Great place
Very pleased with this property. It was beautiful, quiet and perfect for our family getaway. My kids had a blast with the bunk beds and fishing. Only complaint-- It was a little difficult to get a hold of the property management and be sure to bring heavy duty mosquito spray. The natural stuff doesn't work. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider booking again.

Weekend Getaway
The house was comfortable, clean and just as beautiful as the photos show. The outside was great, the kids loved the animals next door and the fishing pier. It was a short drive to the beach and the views were really nice from the porch. Overall, we had a great time !

A Nice Place
Our group had a great time here even though there were a few issues. The house itself is lovely. The property is very clean and the house is comfortable and well decorated. Unfortunately, the mosquito system listed in the description was not working and we were not able to get a hold of anyone who could assist getting in getting it working. The misquitos were terrible at night and we were weren't able to enjoy the outdoor portion of the property as much as we would have liked.. The house is also right next to a goat and sheep pen which takes away from the appeal of the outdoor space. All in all it was a nice place to stay but not somewhere we will book in the future.

Beautiful house with a great vibe.
The house is perfect and exactly like the pictures. It was odd having chickens, goats and pigs directly next door, but they simply greet you at the fence, then run away. Kids loved it!!! Master bed is squeaky and dryer has a misfit filter that catches clothes. But I would stay here again.

Perfect spot!
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful little beach house for the week of July 4th. The location was great for fishing with the kids, we caught a wide variety right off the dock behind the house. It was a quick drive to town and the beach, and we enjoyed being away from the tourists and craziness of the 4th at the beach but still close enough to enjoy. We have been to Galveston so many times and this house is just a ferry ride away if that’s what you’re looking for. The interior was very comfortable and the kids enjoyed playing the games at the house and horse shoe under the house. Great house and great time, we would definitely come back. The only things I would recommend is to bring a couple extra towels. Only 4 were provided and there were 5 of us in the house. Also, the dryer lint screen would not go all the way down and I threw my daughters new sundress in there and two swimsuit tops and they got caught on the edge of the lint screen which literally cut the straps right off. :( I wouldn’t recommend putting anything strappy in the dryer.

The home shows just like the photos online! The beds were comfortable, plenty of space for the family to spread out! The kids loved the bunk room it was a hit for sure with the kiddos! The only negative were the mosquitos Asked de from that we all enjoyed the home. I really appreciated the book provided by the homeowners with all the informative info regarding do’s and don’ts for the house, check in check out info as well as things to do places to go. Peaceful and beautiful home!
The property was exactly as described and photographed. I read several reviews that complained about mosquitos so we brought a Thermocell with us and had no issues. It isn’t on the beach but close enough to enjoy a beach vacation and water calm enough for the kids to kayak every day.

Gorgeous rental perfect for the family!
The photos are exactly what you get...beautiful home with high ceilings and nicely decorated rooms. The kids loved the bunk room. The neighborhood is very quiet and laid back. It's not on the beach side but not far...only drawback about the location were the long ferry lines to Galveston. Would absolutely come back though.
