The room was comfortable, parking was easy, the pool was lovely. It’s about 2.5k from the centre of town. It looks like they’re in the midst of renovating the place so it’ll be good to come back and see how it turns out.

The staff were very pleasant, the rooms were clean and the pool and spa were very refreshing. A little more shade around the pool would probably be beneficial but this was not a criticism just a suggestion. We had a very pleasant stay. I would stay there again.

Lovely motel. Inside room is like very and big. Found rubbish under bed that wasn’t clean. Motel near central of Port Douglas town which is great.

Thoroughly recommend it. It needs a car to get to the town centre but it has all the trappings of a nice quiet place after a whole day of touristy stuff.

I was very impressed with Birch Resort. It was very clean and well maintained. The rooms appeared to be recently renovated. It was convenient to have the well-equipped shared kitchen area to prepare meals if you wished and laundry on site. Overall a great choice for a reasonable price.

Modern, clean property within short driving distance of the town. My only criticism is the lack of accessible power points for charging phones and other gadgets. There was a single power point in the bathroom only.
