“Hotel Heritage Dea Hvar, not to be confused with the Heritage Hvar Palace Hotel, was a small family owned place with just the right amount of quaint loveliness and proximity to Old Town and the ferry. We walked everywhere. The rooms are all differently arranged, according to the space available. They are well-furnished in an understated way, with modern lighting, plenty of outlets, and a unique configuration. Apparently the family and relatives updated all the rooms themselves. We gleaned……

“The view from the room is lovely. The kitchen has the basics, plenty for breakfast and lunch. Without a car, there are many, many steps from the town center to the apartment. The landlord was exceptionally knowledgeable. Our ferry was cancel because of wind. She drove us across the island to the port where the car ferry was running. ”

“My sister and I went to Croatia to visit our family where our roots are from and did some travelling as well down the coast. When we left our grandparents’ villages, we headed to Split, and then took a ferry to the island of Hvar. We found a room at the Hotel Teranea just about 1.5km from the old city of Hvar. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by the hotel manager Branko. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed almost like family. We checked in with ZERO issues, and he……

“We stopped off in Hvar for a couple of nights en-route from Dubrovnik to Split and so glad we chose Dela. We had such a relaxing time there. It is a family run establishment and they really go out of their way to help and make your stay special. The Dela is located up a hill just out of town but the family are always on hand to pick you up or drop you off. We were picked up from the ferry and after dining out in the old town so nothing to worry about, it's a pleasant walk downhill into town……

“The property was just right. An easy walk to town and equipped with all the essentials. We are four, so it was great to have two bathrooms The hosts were great. They picked us up at the bus station when we arrived ( and dropped us off when we departed). We had dinner at the host's son restaurant and watched the sunset while enjoying delicious food and drink. Highly recommended!”

“Beautiful home on the hill with an infinity pool overlooking a private bay. This is a little piece of paradise outside the noise and the hustle and bustle of Hvar town, but only a 10 min drive away. The owner, Tony, is very friendly and accommodating and will drive you to town for 13 euros each way. It is about a 45 minute walk. Very secluded and peaceful! Perfect for a romantic get away or for families, but come prepared as there is nothing near by but 2 quite pricey restaurants. ”
