We really appreciated well considered gestures, such as fresh milk in the fridge & cookies on arrival. Thank you to the hosts, for the thought & detail made to ensure guests have a comfortable stay. “Amazing trip at the Sleeping Giant Hotel which is attached to the Pen y cae inn.. We arrived and was greeted by Lee and Claire, they went above and beyond to get us into our room 3 hours before checkin time.. the hotel is clean, modern with no expense spared.. the pub which is attached to the hotel has a lovely restaurant, the food was great and good value for money.. we ended up extending our stay by a extra night as we enjoyed it here that much! If you want a great stay with a good pub next……

“We went for 2 nights stay in May. Check in and communication was very good. The property was clean. It looked like renovation work took place recently. It was a pleasant stay. Only downside is that there are no good places to eat. We arrived about 8:30 pm and all the nearby places were closed for customers. This is no reflection on the property as it was as advertised.”

“I booked this place knowing little other than it was close enough to Cardiff for us to stay after the Bruce Springsteen concert. It was very well appointed, with a well equipped kitchen / dining room, spacious wet room, large bedroom and lounge with a sofa bed. And a hot tub in the communal garden area! One point that is not related to the accommodation that I wish I’d known - some of the roads are very narrow and as it’s a very hilly area there are a few hairpin bends which I found difficult……

“Fantastic location - a hundred metres from the beach . We chose to stay in a chalet because of the beach location. In winter it’s quite a basic living choice - bring your own linen and towels and everything you might need for cleaning your kitchen . Possibly a little overpriced because it is one of the more basic chalets and hasn’t be3n modernised but it’s clean and that counts !”

“A few leaflets about the area would have been good. We found the library on the day it was closed which may have helped. Another toilet upstairs in the house would have been useful, but generally the house was very comfortable .was”
