Love the home!!

House was awesome!! Communication was great from beginning to end of our stay!! Loved that we could walk to the beach from the home! The only negative was that the patio over looked a public access parking lot but we loved the house & would rent it again !!

Fun family get away

Enjoyed having 10 bedrooms for everyone to spread out in. Easy walk to (and on) the beach. Yet we all could gather inside and outside too. We made a few trips into Chicago (~1 hour transit if driving or via the very convenient train (South Shore Line). [No cicadas present in summer of 2024.]

Beachfront Villa

Great place! We had 24 family members with plenty of room to spread out, cook and eat, have family games and activities. Location was great for walking on the beach and through the adjoining State Park. Kitchen was large with a second kitchen for additional cooking. Everything was in good working order and clean throughout. Everyone said they would be up for coming back here again.

Beautiful home & View

This home is spacious and beautiful with incredible views. Wonderful location as well! Only thing I would say needs improvement is the main kitchen needs some attention. The bottom freezer drawer does not open easily. The stove top only had two working burners and was missing the oven knob. Telling a guest they can use the oven in the other kitchen, not a good look for such an upscale property. It was obvious this was not a new issue so it should have been fixed. The only other thing people may want to know is the internet is not super great at this location but I know that is not the owner’s fault.

The villa was perfect for our needs! Plenty of space, a stellar kitchen, and easy beach access for most of us (the grandparents had trouble accessing the beach due to the incline). Also the best shower I've ever experienced. Only drawbacks were a couple unexpected fees.

Interior was spotless. Some minor things needed fixing. Largest gather g room had tables and chairs but only one very uncomfortable sofa for sitting, although the annex had a couple nice places to sit upstairs.

Sales Meeting

We had 14 people stay for a meeting & celebration. Absolutely beautiful property - HUGE, lots of separate spots for private conversations, and huge meeting room, deck & kitchen for a big cook out dinner. Great views, only issue is parking is limited (large public lots may be open in the season ?)

Great Place

Minor wear and tear. We had the addition for the weekend to accommodate extra guests and the main house for the majority of our stay. Over all beautiful house and grounds. Easy access to beach.

Our family's stay was great. Everyone had a wonderful time. Our only problem was finding bedding for the sofa bed and air mattress in The Addition. After much looking some was located upstairs. It would be helpful to have been told where to find it or have it stored close to where it is needed. Also, more hooks in the smaller baths would be useful. My husband and I stayed in the bedroom on the first floor of The Addition and both the bedroom and bath had no where to put anything. All in all the kitchen, decks etc. were well equipped and the stay was great.

Birthday Surprise

We wanted to bring the entire family together in one place to celebrate the family matriarch’s 90th birthday. This was the perfect place with space for everyone! It was a wonderful weekend! We plan to do it again!

Amazing Location

Check in was super easy. The property manager stayed in constant communication leading into the event. We rented the entire location (Villa Santorini + Addition) and it was amazing. There were no surprises from viewing it online to being in person. It was clean and well kept and the amenities / upgrades were impressive. Thanks for a very easy booking process and I have already recommended the venue to other peers.

The house was generously built to accommodate our large family of 30. We were able to spread out and not feel on top of each other. Having two sinks and two dishwashers in the main kitchen was very helpful for the scale of people we were feeding. The outdoor seating was spacious and an additional bonus! Spending evenings on the deck with a fire to gather around was idyllic. We also had groups playing cards and working on puzzles. Being so close to the beach was perfect for a quick jaunt to play in the water or the sand, or to watch the sunset, which we did a couple of times. The only downside was that driving to pick up groceries or last minute supplies was a time consuming trek and endeavor, as there is not much available close by. The management team was fairly responsive when we had an issue with the freezer portion of the refrigerator, but it was a little challenging to speak directly with them. I would definitely recommend the house as a place to host a large group. We had a great family reunion and the views all week were amazing. Local attractions were limited and not very enticing.

Fantastic home for a large group!

We rented this house for a corporate strategy retreat, and the layout of the house and ample bedrooms/bathrooms was perfect for giving every colleague privacy. Kitchen size and amenities was great for large meal preparation. Hot tub, awesome views, built-in whole home audio, tons of TVs, coffee amenities - all of it was fantastic. My only gripe is communication with Miller Beach Vacation Rentals. It is hard to get a response from them, from the requesting/confirmation of an early check-in, to getting a receipt for my charges. I've asked multiple times (via e-mail, via text, via their portal, and via their website) and I still haven't heard a thing.

College Team Spring Break

Our traveling team size was 30 and we struggled giving everyone a proper sleeping arrangement. I would definitely recommend a team no bigger than 25. Unless you put 3 to a king bed, which we did not. They do include air mattresses as counting twin beds as well, which again, isn't up to par for some college sport programs for a week stay. During our trip, the main washer did not work and was not fixed during our time there. Also, if you're traveling in a bus or vans with your team, parking is rough but doable. The house overall is a gorgeous house and I highly recommend it! I just don't think it's suited for a group larger than 25, unless you're family and can share beds better. Communication wasn't too bad, they tried to help out where they could. Appreciate your help with the process.

Girls Weekend

Outside looked a little rough and not really taken care of like it showed in the listing. The toilet was clogged once we arrived. We contacted the owner and they came and said it was fixed. The toilet worked for few hours and was clogged again. Also there was a passcode on the thermostat and we were not able to lower the temp. After multiple attempts of contacting the owner we still never received the code. Overall it wasn’t so bad expect few things mentioned above. The owner was very responsive to our texts usually within minutes.

Be warned before staying here

The property owners keep billing me for fees which were not included in the amount I paid through VRBO. I paid two amounts through VRBO, received an email form Miller Properties stating they had received my final payment and showed a zero balance, then on the day we arrived they started billing me for an additional $180 in fees. This is completely unethical. The master bedroom is up a shaky metal spiral staircase - anyone with any knee problems would not be able to make it up there. The house was clean, except there was fresh urine on one of the toilets - that was not pleasant.

Clean, spacious, and clearly well maintained, this home was perfect for our group getaway. The great room made it easy for everyone to gather, while the thoughtful layout also provided comfortable spaces for smaller conversations and quiet downtime. The beachfront location and beautiful views were standouts, and being just steps from the sand was a noted bonus, even in November. Communication and check‑in were smooth, and management was friendly, responsive, and accommodating throughout our stay. We would gladly book again and recommend this property to friends and family.

Getaway

This place is so nice. Perfect for a small family. We enjoyed our min walk to the beach and the view. The hot tub was a bonus. The beach was quiet and not many people at all. The dogs had a blast there too. Very comfortable and we can’t wait to come back
