  • Lovely third-floor apartment on the East End, just steps from the glorious Eastern Promenade! Cozy and cute, this adorable spot resides in the neighborhood which boasts some of the best restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops in the city all within walking distance. On a quiet residential street, there is plenty of on-street parking. Downtown and the Old Port are about a 15-minute walk from the house.
    Adjacent to the living room is a private deck. The kitchen and living room areas have a nice open floor plan with a skylight to let in lots of natural light. The cozy bedroom offers a peaceful view of the tree-lined street.
    ** Please note that the last few steps leading up to the apartment on the third floor are quite steep. **

This apartment was so cute! My sister and I stayed here for 2 nights before heading north in Maine and the apartment was perfect for what we needed. There was AC in the bedroom, a living room, plenty of towels for the bathroom, and a nice little kitchen area. Just a 10 minute walk is a few coffee shops and restaurants and the larger downtown area is like a 10 minute drive. Jennifer was really communicative and check in was really easy!

The apartment was very clean and as described. The location was fantastic - we walked everywhere and never used the car! I would only suggest better blockout shades in the bedroom as that early morning sun was pretty bright at 6 am while in bed!! Otherwise all was perfect!

Property is beat up!!!! Entrance is dimmly lit and hasn't been painted in years. Stairs to the third floor apartment are VERY steep and make it difficult to get even a small suitcase up there safely. Balcony has a nice chairs, cute cushions and a view but is rickety and has a really rough surface. It's in serious need of sanding and painting. The second set of stairs off the deck are also VERY steep. Bathroom has a low slanted ceiling and no mirror over the sink. There's one behind you on the opposite wall but it's not helpful if you're shaving or putting your contact lenses in!!!! The portable air conditioner in combination with the floor fan was noisy but cooled the bedroom enough. The apartment is just bare bones. Lots of little signs telling us to lock this or that, open skylights for venting the bathroom, close them during rain storms, wash our dishes, and how to sort and take out our trash. We were pretty amazed that we were charged $350/ night for this experience.

Property was not as expected from the pictures. Beautiful views labeled interior in the pictures are not from the apartment. Also air conditioning is listed and true but only in the bedroom. During the summer the balance of the apartment is extremely hot. If we had known better from the property description of what to expect then it would have been much better as the location is great and outside of the very very steep stairs (which are listed in the description if you read deep enough) the apartment then is just what is needed for a home base in Portland!

Perfect little apartment, perfect for a five day stay with my husband. The balcony was a lovely addition and the hosts were responsive and helpful. Overall I’d recommend to anyone looking for a quiet location within walking distance to the downtown area and only a block or two from the eastern promenade.
