The entire property is unique, as it is a reflection of the owner’s family…so the attention to detail is apparent throughout the establishment…including the free breakfast buffet; which is hot AND replenished so often you’re unsure how it’s included! (No charge for juice? Yes, please. Never mind the fresh, hot chocolate beignets,) It’s historic, quiet, charming, a local vibe and a fantastic current hotel with so much care given to its history and surroundings. I liked it here.

The Inn was beautiful, my only concern was the room was so close to the lobby, literally out the door to hotel room is the lobby. I would prefer a different location for future. Minor inconveniences were that there was no bath wash for shower and I didn't notice until I was in the shower and the toilet paper had just a bit left with not another one readily available. The room was cozy and could have used a little more shelving for toiletries. Overall we really enjoyed out stay, everything else was great.

Room is small but it’s fine. Fridge. Mini split - yay - there was a time that fans were all that could be had! Walls thin and noises from hallway are easily heard. All pretty silent after about 10. Friendly staff and coffee available all day. Breakfast buffet was good but not super special. Close to the beach - this is an iconic hotel and everyone should stay at least once.

So this place has a lot going for it as far location and overall cozy coastal feel. Our room, however (#13) was located immediately next to the lobby with an adjoining wall to their restaurant's kitchen. It was not quiet at all. When I mentioned it to the girl at the desk, she was not surprised and and didn't seem to care. We stayed 3 nights and never got more than a few hrs of sleep at a time. I can't say I wouldn't try staying again in a different room. The beach is a block away, Portland is 20ish min away, and the restaurant provides a decent but expensive breakfast buffet. The staff is hit or miss. The girl working the desk most of the time was not attentive and never even asked how our stay was. When we were checking out she fully ignored me when I approached and chose to speak to a colleague, who eventually got her to pay attention so we could leave.
