「The property itself has a lot of potential to be a great place with minimal effort. However, it clearly showed its age. Living room furniture was stained. Owner did provide sheets to cover at our request so we could sit. One of the bedroom window shades was broken and it took owners five days to respond after our request to fix it. As we were leaving day after, we told them not to bother. We also had to ask for additional towels as the ones provided were not sufficient for four people staying...

We were a bit scared that it would be too cold inside the house but the host put two heaters and it was warm enough inside.We had access to a large garden on the property and were allowed to pick oranges, lemons and kiwis. The host was also very generous in letting us walk around the entire property. 「Our host was helpful. It was great to have a swimming pool overlooking the Douro. The house has air conditioning which was good as the outside temp was over 30C! The kitchen has all equipment to prepare meals. We were glad my husband is a good driver on very curved roads!」
