Perfect location - super central for getting around Porto with lots of great food options at your do

Perfect location - super central for getting around Porto with lots of great food options at your doorstep. Very clean new unit with working AC & WiFi. There are many empty cupboards to store your belongings, too.

Nice look on the web page, but sadly not so nice in real life. Apart from having a very comfortable check in, the location is pretty good. But this comes with a price: it is too loud. Way too loud. We could not sleep one night because a) the windows are not noise canceling and b) it is a very noisy neighborhood. If the people stopped singing and screaming, the garbage collection started its work at 5. On Day 3 of our stay i had to buy noise canceling headphones that are used on construction sites and by airport personal. Even though this apartment feels brand new, it needs more maintenance. The bathroom feels like is falling apart. The sink is hanging of the wall, the toilet seat is moving and in the shower the drain cover is missing, so you can see all the dirt and mold. The wifi is not working. And the owner knows it. But it looks like no one cares. The TV does not work, the remote looks like it fell out of a plane and landed on the table. The kitchen is not well equipped, which means, it is just for two people, which is technically fine but it also means, that you have to use the dishwasher every other day. You need a wooden spoon, a sieve or maybe a cutting board? Look somewhere else. It is the minimum that you can buy at IKEA. If you a deep love for build in cabinets, this place is for you. You can store so many things, it is unbelievable. But a hook on the wall to hang your clothes? Nah, that not necessary, you have enough build-in-cabinets that you can't reach. It is an aesthetically pleasing apartment, i have to admit this but it needs more care and and a working solution to cut out the noise.
