We loved the neighborhood feel and the quick access to the riverfront. The view from the kitchen and the balcony are incredible.

The map on Expedia shows it closer to the Ribeira than it really is. The place is okay for the price, hot water, seamless check in, the view of the river is nice, the surroundings were not noisy at all. A plus is that it is very very close to the port wine cellars, if you’re looking for that. One thing that I didn’t like was the smell in the living room, the couch was musty and there was a closet that smells bad. Did not sit on the couch. I think I should also mention that it is on top of a hill, about 30 minutes from the airport by uber and to walk from the river it’s about 15-20 minutes of steep slopes.
