Very charming and quaint top floor flat with balcony and great views of the Torre do Clérigos. I very much enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to anyone.
We had an absolutely amazing stay! Maria is a wonderful host and was not only welcoming but also very helpful in making our trip to Porto so fantastic. The location was great and walking distance to everything including many nearby restaurants. We would definitely recommend this hotel!
The property makes creative use of its small space in the historic area. We enjoyed our balcony view of the city from our studio. Fresh and new inside with a Roman wall in the back. Staff is wonderful and genuinely helpful. Breakfast is good too. But do not plan to drive or park there. The road is very narrow. We left our car at a nearby parking garage. Wonderful location in the walkable historic district near the river.
A lovely place to stay in Porto. So convenient for the Cathedral and the river.
Marta could not have been more helpful; booking parking in advance, offering invaluable advice on restaurants, sightseeing, transport etc. She helped us with luggage (we had a lot, as we are on the road for a month) and with laundry too. She even went to the trouble of researching our onward travel on our behalf.I cannot recommend this place more highly.

The location is amazing, there was a lot to see within walking distance. The room was modern and nicely decorated but there was a lack of shelving in the bathroom (turns out the mirror is a medicine cabinet) and also, there wasn’t really a place to put luggage; I would have preferred that the single chair was replaced with a luggage rack. I was not able to get the AC working when we checked in but Maria came to the room upon check out and it seemed to be working fine then. And the toilet seat was broken which seems to be a theme in Portugal. Overall, I would stay here again. Check in/out was easy and the staff were friendly. Welcome desserts and port wine were a nice surprise!
We had a very comfortable stay. The historical house is very well kept and our room was clean. It is well located near the Cathedral and within walking distance of the waterfront. Marta, the host and our staff contact there, was most helpful, patient, gracious, and welcoming. She contacted us ahead of time more than once and sent us clear directions to the house from the train station via local train. We had an unexpected medical situation arise while there and she both advised us and made several calls on our behalf. The care and attention the staff gives their guests is rare. Highly recommended!
Excellent central location in city centre approx 5 mins from nearest metro stop. Clean and modern. Our room was small but had everything we needed for our 3 night stay.
Welcome from Marta was above and beyond expectations. Not only did she introduce us to the guesthouse but supplied us with a drink of port and pastel da nata when we arrived ! she gave us an intro to the city highlights , supplied us with a map and even booked boat trip, tuk tuk ride and port cellar tour for us . She answered our questions during our stay in a friendly and efficient way. She is a great asset to her employer and the questhouse.
Overall we could not have wanted more from our stay at this guesthouse and would fully recommend it for a short city break to Porto.
This was the perfect stay for our Porto trip! We loved the location and the cleanliness and spaciousness of the room. The staff was extremely helpful and everyone was very friendly. Would highly recommend!
The only positive thing about this property is the location.
Even when the check out time at Expedia says maximum at noon, I received a message by the Maria manager stating it was at 11:00 AM, which is not for what I paid.
Also, nobody was there to help us with the check in or the check out, and it was not easy to find the property.
We arrived at 8:00 PM an luckily I was able to access the information through the Expedia where they sent us a message saying "perhaps we will not be able to help you with the check in", when it is obvious they are never there,
Regarding the apartment itself, we reserved and paid for a property with terrace, but they gave us a room without it.
Also, it is very noise. you can hear the people above you, going down the stairs, when the flush the toilet, everything
This is one of the best hotel experience I have. Very stylish design of hotel, clean and comfortable room, friendly staff who is willing to share with you anything about the city. Great breakfast too!
I had a wonderful stay! I was greeted warmly with port and a pastry and provided with information about what too see and do around town. Everyone was so lovely and nice and the accommodations were exactly what I was looking for! Very charming place!
The House has the perfect location. It is 4min walking from the metro station and you can visit all the interresting points in a short walking distance.
The room was very chaming and comfortable. The bed was amazing. All the decoration details in the house are beautifull and stylish. We were warmly welcome.
The hotel is difficult to reach from a main road and one must walk up a very steep incline to reach the hotel which is poorly marked. No reception with difficulty in obtaining the entry codes. Then we were place at the very top room which had a very tight winding stairs without a handrail and was extremely difficult to lug a suitcase up. Next, my wife fell in the middle of the room because there is no safety markings for a step down in the center of the room. Overall, this accommodation was way overpriced for the facility it provided.
Overall it was a good base from which to explore Porto.
In particular we liked:
When we arrived there were some portuguese tarts and glasses of port. If you wanted, there was more port in the reception area.
Spotlessly clean throughout.
Good location - just a (steep) 10 minute walk to the river. Lots of restaurants etc nearby. We really felt we were in the middle of everything.
Whilst there was no onsite receptionists or manager we always had a quick response by to any query we had.
Not so good
Noise! We were room 1 in the first floor. This meant we were right over the front door which people slam at all times (even though there is a notice in the door). Plus the stairs are open plan to the kitchen - reception so if anyone is talking either downstairs or on the stairs case you will hear it. Unfortunately to get to the other bedrooms, everyone goes past the room so you can hear every conversation being held.
Towels were a little threadbare
There is a kettle in the room but no tea/ coffee. So wasn’t quite sure what the point was ? There is a kitchen area downstairs but it’s made very clear you can’t use it.
The rooms are small - but we were aware of this. However there was nowhere to put your case in the bedroom and apart from one small rail no where to unpack to.
Overall though it was perfectly adequate for a short visit to Porto.

Der er meget lydt og man skal have et ualmindeligt godt sovehjerte for at få en god nattesøvn. Beliggenheden er god og meget central.
