We stood on the street for some time, after the check in period, with our bags and no way to enter the apartment. We had received no communication. After 8 attempts via the portal, WhatsApp, and finally phone, we were finally able to get in thanks to the emergency support line.The apartment was basic, but still lovely with a wonderful location. I would have given a higher star rating overall except the owner conveniently took down the listing. No doubt, this was because they knew the debacle they just put us through. Furthermore, there was no offer for any compensation for the inconvenience. Otherwise, Porto was amazing and we highly recommend it!

Location a bonus, BUT….

Horrible smell still coming from main floor bathroom (see review from April). The air conditioner in the top floor bedroom did not work, nor did the light in that bathroom. Both were reported and quick communication was received back but neither were fixed. Zero communication or responses to questions in the last 2 days

Not enough communication

The property is situated 2 mins from Sau Bento station. It is as advertised and well kitted out. However the smell from the main bathroom was awful and was advised to them. No reply received. Contact from the owner/property manager was very poor. We had no contact until after 2 o’clock arrival day despite advising them we had arrived in the city at 12. We had to get in contact with VRBO. We also found a used condom between the two sofas!!!! Advised to owner/manager no reply. It is a real shame as your property is lovely despite the Bar below which I would imagine gets very noisy weekends and in the height of the season.
