This was my second stay at the Martin Hill Inn, and it does not disappoint. This Inn is the perfect Portsmouth stay. The beds are comfortable and fresh, the space is welcoming and cozy with historical details and the location is ideal for walking into town. It's officially my go to place to stay in the area.

We were very happy with our stay at the Martin Hill Inn! The property was extremely clean and our room was spacious and comfortable, also quiet. The larger size in-room fridge was appreciated because we could store our cooler items overnight (much easier than customary hotel fridges). The parking was safe and a short walk to the Inn through a very pretty garden, complete with a charming free library bookstand. We walked to market square easily for dinner when we arrived and again for breakfast the next morning, a nice bit of walking before getting back in the car. It was a bit different to never see anyone during check-in/check-out - but it beat waiting in a long check in line after a long drive so that was great. Highly recommend staying here!

Wunderschönes, geräumiges Zimmer in einem charmanten Clapboard House mit tollem Garten, Sitzmöglichkeiten und Firepit. Sehr nettes Personal, viel Platz und kostenloses Parken. Downtown ist einfach und schnell zu Fuß erreichbar, die Umgebung sehr sicher. Einziger Nachteil: leider keine Frühstücksoption. Insgesamt eine wunderschöne Unterkunft mit viel Charme.

This is such a cute inn with all the amenities that are needed. It is wonderful to be able to just check yourself in without waiting in line. The space was clean, and tastefully decorated. The town, adorable. Parking isn't ideal for a large truck (we're driving through so, vehicle option wasn't negotiable for us) but we made it work! 5 stars, we can't wait to come back!

This property was very clean and an ideal spot for a quick getaway. We loved the room we stayed in. Another bonus, parking is conveniently located on the property. The only downside since there is no front desk, is having to call an answering service for any questions/issues. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

A lovely property with meandering curated gardens, seating areas, tables and umbrellas. Comfortable bedding, well appointed amenities and a terrific patio/sunroom to enjoy our morning coffee. It was only a ten minute walk to downtown. We parked our car and walked everywhere we wanted to visit. Absolutely loved this special place. Wish we lived closer so we could visit again! Quiet, peaceful and elegant.

While we only had a one-night stay, but it was excellent! The staff is very attentive and helpful. Our room was pristine upon arrival and the bed was very comfortable! Beautiful property and we loved the garden, wish we had more time to enjoy it.

Loved our 3 night stay. We had a car and did drive to town but most places are walkable. We stayed in Noonday and loved the added spaced to sit. The porch looks out on the lovely garden. Don't miss the garden path to yhe parking lot. It's lovely and you are sure to catch bees, birds, and butterflies enjoying the plants. The amenities are elevated touches. We enjoyed the coffee maker, the spacious bathroom with built in shelves for your toiletries. The steamer came in handy for pur wrinkled clothing. The check in was easy, and the staff responsive to our questions via the contact number.I would reccommend this location and Im sure the other rooms are also nice.
