Chalets in Powys

"The hut looked really shabby from the outside but, thankfully, it was better inside. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped but there were no towels or tea-towels, dishcloths etc. and no tea, coffee etc. The bed linen wasn’t great, with stains and burn marks on the duvet cover. The mattress was stained. As a one night stop-over on a bike ride it was OK, just."

"The location was good. To find the lodge was extremely difficult as the lodges were not numbered in numerical order. The warden just pointed in the general direction to where the lodge was situated. The parking was very tight due to over grown hedges. The lodge was in very poor condition...certainly not "luxury"as the advert said. It did NOT have the dishwasher, washing machine or dryer as in the listing. It did have an ironing board but no cover for it! There was black mould in the shower...

"Fabulous lodge in a perfect location, very quiet and peaceful. Rosemary (host) came over on our arrival and went through everything we needed to know.Kitchen fabulous with everything we needed and more. Beds extremely comfortable and clean towels waiting on the bed.We will definitely be back!! Great location for walking and exploring the area."

"Amazing we loved our stay."

"Amazing time away and the area was so peaceful! Facilities were exactly what was needed and the cabin was spotless and cosy which really made it feel like a home away from home."

"Better than the photos. The cabin was immaculate and really well supplied. Stuart, the owner, was amazing. generous and helpful. The surrounding area is stunning with enough to keep the kids (8 + 10) entertained for hours in the fields, in the hot tub and trampolines. 100% we will return. Thank you Stuart. "

"A comfortable lodge with beautiful views"

"Lakeside is a gem. We had a lovely family long weekend to celebrate my birthday. The property is warm, comfortable and exceptionally well equipped with everything you need and more! Andrew was very helpful and friendly. Games room an excellent addition to Lapwing! Hot tub and views stunning. A treat to see the baby calves in the field. We wish Andrew and Kate all the success they deserve"

"Local area doesn’t appear to have much in the way of places to eat but good central location for getting out and about."

"We had a fantastic time in Wales, what amazing views and attractions we visited."

"Absolutely loved the lodge great setting, hot tub was nice the owners very helpful and always on hand to bring more wood for the log burner, would definitely recommend and I will return, Tesco and Aldi about 7 miles away. And all round perfect short stay highly recommended."
