“The property was having building work carried out while we were staying as it was low season . We were offered an upgrad to a sea view room which was a beautiful view but we still had to pay the upgrade charge . You would have thought this would have been complimentary due to the room being free anyway and to compensate for the building work .”

“Rustig gehuchtje, vriendelijke mensen, wifi werkte niet, verder alles in orde.... niemand gezien om een beetje uitleg te geven, enkel gecommuniseerd via WhatsApp, nogal vreemd, ook om aan de sleutel te geraken een gedoe, was beter geweest dat er ons iemand opwachte......”

“A lovely villa overlooking a small Spanish town and Mediterranean Sea - like waking up in a dream every morning - especially watching the sunrise over the sea. Infinity pool was a little cool in October, but refreshing after taking any of the numerous hikes in the area (don’t miss San Pedro Castle and Cove!). So many things to enjoy on the property, including tons of outdoor patio options (all with views of the sea), a gorgeous courtyard, exquisite garden and roomy, comfortable, stylish……

“About a 15 minute drive outside the town of Nijar, voted one of the most beautiful towns in Spain. The house is simple, but very clean and in a nice quiet location. It is located on the Ruta del agua (water route), which was a perfect adventure for our 10 year old son. The location is up in the mountains, so walking is quite strenuous, but worth the effort. You can drive to the coast in about 40 minutes, with beautiful secluded beaches and great walking areas, as well as plenty of local shops……

“Alles zusammen ein sauberes und schön Gelegenes Haus. Jedoch hatte wir öfter das Problem, wenn Elektronische Geräte (z.B. Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine) benutzt wurden, dass die Sicherung mehrfach rausgeflogen ist.”

“Appartement très propre et spacieux. Cuisine bien équipée pour préparer des plats. Très belle terrasse où on peut apprécié le levé de soleil, et un panorama sur la ville. Il y a un contact sur place en cas de besoin. L'immeuble est sur les hauteurs de Carboneras, aussi les rues montent beaucoup, surtout à pied. Carboneras est très accueillante, nous avons sympatisé avec bon nombre d'habitants. Commerce alimentaire assez proche (Mercadona, Spar). Bars à tapas sympas. La plage est belle, nous……

“Wir hatten mit unseren 5 Teenagern eine tolle Zeit in diesem wunderschönen Haus. Es war alles wie auf den Bildern und prima ausgestattet. Sogar eine Paellera für 10. Die Gegend hat sich in den letzten 40 Jahren kaum verändert und zu Fuß zum Strand zu können war herrlich. Jeden Morgen eine kleine Runde dort hin joggen war super. Der Nationalpark Cabo de Gata ist durchweg von unfassbarer wilder Schönheit und es gibt viel zu unternehmen. Wir kommen hoffentlich wieder.”

“Der Ort ist noch im Nebensaisonschlaf aber einige Restaurants und Geschäfte haben geöffnet. Die Wohnung war in einer guten Lage mit Blick aufs Meer. Wir hätten es geschätzt, wenn die Terasse schon schön eingerichtet wäre bei Ankunft. Die Möbel sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen erfüllen aber ihren Zweck.”

“Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans la villa Sotavento. Elle est très bien équipée et très propre. Quand nous sommes arrivés nous avons été très bien accueillis par Alvaro, les lits étaient faits. Il y a beaucoup de marches d'escaliers mais la vue vaut la peine 😊”

“Que la habitación tenga salita de estar es un punto muy positivo y favorable, nos encantó. El personal, todos muy amables. No nos gustó demasiado el desayuno para la categoría del hotel ”

“Als 4 Sterne Hotel wäre es ok. Außenanlagen/ Pool schön. Zimmer schnörkellos, ausreichende Größe und Ausstattung. Doppelbett bestehend aus zwei Einzelbetten. Zimmer hellhörig. Rezeption nicht sehr auf Zack, aber funktioniert. Man wird im Gegensatz zu anderen (echten) 5 Sterne Hotels nicht mit einem Getränk empfangen und wird nicht vom Personal eingecheckt während man gemütlich seinen Drink genießt. Sondern ganz normal warten an der Rezeption… Frühstück bietet keine außergewöhnliche Auswahl.……
