The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was lavish. It is very convenient for car parking and for the pub next door. BUT the room was not great. I was booked for ground floor but sent to First floor room 111. That room had no working extractor fan in the toilet-shower room. We were told it would come on with the shower but it didn't. Also, the washbasin plug lever was damaged. Ventilation required opening the triple glazing, so the room became very stuffy at night. Finally, we were expecring a charge of about £80 per night but we were billed at £103 per night. We do not plan to return to this Ibis, which is a pity because it is very convenient.

The housekeeping aspects were good but after that it was all two star with a room that reeked of cigarette smoke, corridor doors that banged when closed, one hard upright chair, threadbare carpet badly stained, no room heat control and no USB points for phones/iPads etc. A very sad visit which has put me off using Ibis in future.

After reading very mixed reviews for this property I was very apprehensive, however I was pleasantly surprised. some areas could do with a bit more thorough cleaning, but the bed was clean and well presented,the room was adequate, very good shower and reasonably clean. Breakfast was ample, we didnt eat much but it was ok(didnt see any tongs for bread). Staff friendly and helpful. We flew into Liverpool airport and travelled to Preston via bus and train, staff in all train and bus stations very helpful, all in all a good stay.

Girl on reception on arrival was casually dressed (no uniform) TV in room did not work, possibly needs new battery in remote. No anti slipmat in shower. Staff member did not ask about my stay when i returned key card. Comfortable bed, clean and was adequate for my requirements.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Carpet in the rooms needs to be changed. Surprised no drinking water was available in the room and no electrical socket beside the bed. Luckily reception had an extension lead that we could use for my husband's CPap machine
