“Get away from the hustle and bustle of Williamsburg and stay here! A very seamless and quick (free) car ferry ride across the James to get to Busch Gardens and Jamestown. This place is great for families. There is even a basketball hoops the kids enjoyed! Lots of space to move and very quiet and serene. We tried 2/3 restaurants in town, both good. Neighbors were friendly and lots of charm. Amanda was fabulous to work with during our stay.”

“The house was very convenient to Pocahontas State park. Tucked into a secluded area, we didn't feel like we were in the suburbs at all. Large yard, common spaces, and amenities made this a nice house for bigger groups.”

“Hamid was very attentive and helpful. The kitchen was well stocked. The house was a bit out dated but certainly worked. I would stay at any of the host’s properties due to how attentive he was to our needs. The Vrbo app was confusing and did not have all the info it said it would have about the property but that is a Vrbo thing and not related to this host or house”

“The space was wonderful for the way I wanted to celebrate my birthday with family and friends! We played group games with up to 12 people in the living room and a playlist from YouTube in the background. The kitchen is impressive. My friends who came who are parents didn’t bring their children this time but appreciated knowing the space can accommodate them. There is ample parking on the pavement next to the house and on the street in front. My fave feature was the shower in the master bedroom!……

“What a wonderful place to stay. A really great house that makes you feel a part of colonial history surrounded by a beautiful forest, English garden and a fun hiking trail from the front door. Cliff and Joy couldn't have been more gracious. Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown , Yorktown and the historic plantations are a short drive and ferry away. This is a amazing house a very unique stay”

“This property is great for relaxing if you want a quiet getaway.It's in a rural area but only 25 minutes to the city.It's very clean and fully equipped. We had a problem opening the locked box to get the key but the host immediately drove to the home to open it for us.If you have a large family this home is perfect for that.”

“If you want quiet and relaxing away from it all with spectular views of the water, sunrises and wildflife this property is ideal. We went to area for a last minute Catfishing tourament and booked on short notice. The owners were awesome made sure we got into the property okay and were very helpful throughout our stay. We spent the majority of our time on the water so didnt really get to enjoy all they offer with the property but did take a walk to beach and through the woods. So peaceful and……

“The property was clean and functional. We needed a place to stay with the family dog while waiting to close on our nearby home purchase (we were coming from out of state). We were happy with property and now live nearby. The only downside was the gravel road drive through the woods at the end. We're not used to that, but it really wasn't bad. Nice place to stay. We're grateful that we found it. Owner was very friendly and accessible. That was a big plus.”

“We had an enjoyable stay on the houseboat. The bed was comfortable, and the accommodations had everything we needed. We even made spaghetti the first night for dinner since we arrived later than planned. The area is private, we only saw a few people and those we did see gave a friendly hello if they didn't stop to chat with us. For anyone wondering about the movement of the boat, it is very stable. The boat is docked in a channel off the main river so not a lot of boat traffic and the currents……
