Great location by the beach

Excellent little condo on a small Poipu property. Easy access to beach, restaurants and shopping. Easy drive to Port Allen also west side state parks. Property is clean quiet and friendly . Nice pool, multiple bbq pits and plenty of parking. I would definitely stay here again.

Great stay at HBR

My husband and I loved the location of this condo- great view of the beach and bay from the property and easy to get to Hanalei for activities. The setup of the unit really maximizes space and the small fridge/ coffeemaker area was perfect for making breakfasts and lunch for our trips. Would absolutely return again!

Did its job well

The room itself was lovely & clean and all the staff were very nice. The fridge was a good size and the coffee was good. The jacuzzi was very hot and great to get in after a long day kayaking. The Resort fees were to me a little shocking even though they are stated in the contract they just didn't include the taxes for everything as they include fees for parking per day($17 plus taxes = $20) then the Resort Fee per day($22 plus taxes = $26) and one time Check in fee( $50 plus taxes =$52) So it ended up being an extra $144 for a two day stay. They did have an extra sheet set and blanket which was great as the AC is right over the bed and I was cold but my husband enjoyed it. There is no parking near the room but the walkways are easy to navigate and you can choose to have the bellhop bring you down in a golf cart but I am not sure what they charge for that. There isn't a microwave in the room but there is one down at the building you check in at and I think it is open pretty late- we were grateful as our kayak trip ran late and we did not get back to the hotel until 9:30 pm. Everything including the grocery stores close at 9 so we heated up some leftovers. One time when we got back to the room it smelled of mowie wowie so I called the front desk. It cleared out fairly quickly when we opened the large sliding door and had the AC run for about 10 minutes to push out the air. I had a great sleep. Would suggest to the owner to have more hooks in shower. Mahalo

Jeff was a great host. Very communicative before and during the stay and the house was set up with everything you need for your trip. Bed was comfortable with games to play in the living room. Short walk to the beach. A stay and would recommend to any friends!

Location!!

We had an amazing stay! You really can't beat the location of this property. The condo was clean, AC works good, and we had a beautiful view of Hanalei Bay. The pool was nice and it was great that Happy Talk Lounge has live music every night.

Great spot!

Loved staying here. Beautiful views and a very comfortable bed. Everytime we needed a ride from the golf cart they showed up within 10 minutes so no complaints about getting to and from the parking lot.

Everything you'd want in one location

The unit was nicely decorated, clean, comfortable and a great spot. Located at the end of the building on the ground floor with good privacy. Only visitors were the nenes.

We had such a great stay! Hanalei Bay is such a special place and steps from this unit is that incredible view. The host is responsive and very helpful. Description of the unit is spot on. The staff at this resort clearly enjoy their job. Can’t wait to go back.

Beautiful condo resort

This room is similar to a hotel but has a lanai and beautiful view including a peek-a-boo of the ocean. The view and location are what makes it excellent. The condo resort is beautifully landscaped, has wonderful amenities, and it is walkable to the beach and Queen's Bath. Would return in a heartbeat! I would say this was good for 2 people. 2 adults and maybe 1 child could also stay here comfortably.

Kauai resort stay

My husband and I, and our 3 year old daughter stayed here for a few nights. It was a little small for the three of us, but not bad since it was a short stay. The resort has amazing views, great beach access and we all loved the pool. This condo was very clean, and had beach supplies. The only bummer was it didn't have the epic mountain views right from the patio, which would have been nice, but we weren't there to stay in the room so didn't bother us. The resort was quiet and never felt busy. It is an easy drive to Hanalei bay for shopping or food.

The Hanalei Bay resort itself was gorgeous with spectacular views of the Bay and Bali Hi. The buildings slope down a hill, and unfortunately this unit is at the bottom of the hill with a long walk back ti to the lobby and parking lot. The unit itself has a fridge but no microwave.

Kauai stay

The property was exactly as described although I underestimated the lack of having a kitchen. There is a wonderful outdoor kitchen that has a oven and barbecue and microwave so after a simple trip to the grocery store we were able to barbecue every day which was great. The restaurant that is on the property was only open two of the days we were here and significantly booked so again having a unit with no kitchen could seem Inconvenient but The outdoor cooking area was great. The property was wonderful and the hike down to the beach is beautiful and the convenience of having a golf cart take you back up the hill was lovely. We would definitely stay here again. Communication with the owners was wonderful.

Great place! Beautiful and peaciful surroundings.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room and amenities were exactly as advertised. Plus the added chocolates and goodies provided by the owner. The view was incredible... absolutely perfect view of the sunset from the patio. The surrounding vegetation has grown up some since the photos were taken, so expect the view of Hanalei Bay to be slightly obstructed. The only negative I have, was the lack of soundproofing between our room and the attaching neighbor's room. We had fairly obnoxious neighbors, so this was a little bothersome at times. No impact on rating though, since this was more of a neighbor problem. Overall, we had a great experience. It really was an awesome vacation!

Nice little unit, house geckos included!

The grounds are very nice, the studio is nice and very much worth the $$. Everything was ready to go and clean when we got there. Be aware that the unit is located a fair distance away from the check-in area with some relatively steep hills. Nice for walking a couple times a day, but can get tiresome after 3-4 trips. There is a golf cart service so that is also an option if you are over the walk. Only gripe would be that a microwave at least would be nice, otherwise be prepared to eat cold food, or eat out every meal. The area is absolutely stunning, and I would recommend this rental to anyone, it was a great trip.
