    Step into a five-generation legacy at Smith Family Farm.

    Escape the pace of modern life and retreat to our historic 1876 farmhouse. Set on 30+ private acres of rolling Minnesota landscape, this meticulously renovated home blends 150 years of charm with the modern comforts your family needs for a peaceful getaway. Whether you’re hosting a small family meetup or a quiet weekend with friends, the farm offers the perfect backdrop for making your own history.

    The Home
    With 2,250 square feet of thoughtfully designed living space, there is room for everyone to spread out or gather together.

    The Main Floor: Features a full-scale, modern kitchen and a spacious living area. The main-floor bathroom features a deep soaking tub with a hand-shower wand—perfect for a relaxing end to the day (please note: there is no stand-up shower on this level).

    The Second Floor: Home to peaceful sleeping quarters and a second full bathroom with a traditional shower/tub combination.

    The Bonus Basement: A cozy 250-square-foot "nook" designed specifically for games, play, and rainy-day entertainment.

    Sleeping Arrangements (Sleeps 10)
    Our flexible layout is ideal for a mix of adults and children:

    Bedroom 1 & 2: (Upstairs) Quiet retreats featuring comfortable Queen-sized beds.

    Bedroom 3: (Upstairs) The "Bunk Room," featuring four extra-large Twin beds (plenty of room for adults!).

    The Sunroom: (Main Floor) A bright, airy space featuring a Queen-sized Murphy bed—the perfect spot to wake up to the morning light.

    Outdoor Living & 30+ Private Acres
    The magic of Smith Family Farm truly happens outside.

    Sunrise & Sunset: Start your morning with coffee on the large east-facing deck as the sun rises over the fields. In the evening, move to the fire pit near the pavilion to roast marshmallows and watch the sky turn gold.

    Play & Explore: Take a stroll on our private walking trail (a guest and pet favorite!) or enjoy our 7-hole disc golf course. We also provide cornhole, bocce ball, and plenty of space to run.

    The Pavilion: A covered outdoor gathering space featuring a Blackstone Griddle and ample seating for alfresco dining.

    Located just a short drive from Interstate 90, you’ll enjoy total rural tranquility while staying within easy reach of local towns. 25 minutes to La Crosse, WI; 20 minutes to Winona, MN; 15 minutes to Rushford & Houston, MN. Easy access to hiking, small towns, and regional attractions.

Awesome property

As expected, 2nd time we’ve stayed there, great location for us (5 adults and four dogs), roomy, clean, wonderful living area and kitchen. The outdoor area was great- the outdoor grill was used every morning for cooking breakast. The grounds were wonderful for the dogs!Convenient for our family event and close to Winona for grocery shopping!

Quiet country getaway

The home and property were beautiful. With an older home I worry about temperature control, but this house kept us cool and comfortable despite the hot weather. They provided so much for activities, cooking, and just overall enjoyment. You get great views for sunrise and sunset! We loved this home!

Family getaway

The Smith farm was a great place for our Thanksgiving celebration. It had a great kitchen and was very clean and comfortable. We liked the location in the country and were able to have fun outdoors as well.

House is so nice. We did scrapbooking and sewing and there was alot of room in the sunroom and dining room to bring tables . The kitchen is fully stocked and great for cooking with others alot of room. We watched movies at night and that was very comfortable. Plenty of room on the 2nd floor for all of us to stay. We will be returning for sure.

Beautiful Location and Home

We were so impressed with this property! It was the perfect place for my sister and me to stay with our families and host a dinner with all of our siblings and parents to celebrate our parent's anniversary. Beautifully renovated farmhouse and surrounding property in peaceful, rural atmosphere

Our family of four greatly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful farmhouse. The surrounding area is very rural, so it is an incredibly peaceful place to stay. About a 30 minute drive from Winona, La Crosse, and other cities with plenty of things to do. The house had everything we needed. I only wish the weather had been a bit better so we could have fully enjoy the outdoor spaces. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay for a family looking to enjoy this beautiful area of southeastern Minnesota.

This is a beautiful property and location! We loved the farmhouse, renovations, decor, room to roam outside, fabulous grill area and fire pit, and truly appreciated all the thought that went into providing such an efficient and gorgeous space to cook, sleep, play while in the area to visit extended family. Everything about this property is wonderful. The house is immaculate and fully stocked with everything you could need. The grounds are beautiful--when we weren't playing yard games or exploring the trails, we were relaxing on the porch. The owners are very responsive and so helpful. I can't say enough good things!

Beautiful home!

We had a wonderful stay at the Smith home. Corey had everything we could have needed to make us feel at home. The disk golf course, putting green, cornhole boards and bocci ball set were an extra bonus that provided plenty of activities for us.

Renovated Farmhouse

We enjoyed our stay at this completely renovated farmhouse. The owners put a ton of work into modernizing the house into a fully functional house with all the amenities while keeping the charm of the original home. The highlight has to be outside. The adjacent gazebo and fire pit are awesome. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a rural getaway or family gathering.

Wonderful Getaway

The house was wonderful, Fantastic kitchen! We were here for Christmas so we didn’t use the outside amenities, but they look awesome. We hope to come back again in the summer! Corey (our host) even went out of his way (last minute) to find a Christmas tree for the house. We highly recommend this place to anyone that wants a tranquil and relaxing experience! Well done

Great little house with lots of outdoor activities and areas to chill. Our only complaint was the bedding & towels were very perfumed (dry sheets we suspected) which irritated our family members with scent sensitivities.

Beautiful house!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. The house was clean and comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and overall it was lovely. All the outdoor space was wonderful and our kids had so much fun walking the trails and playing frisbee golf. The firepit and provided firewood was amazing. We really liked learning about the history of the farm as well. We'd love to return sometime! firepot

Beautiful farmhouse and property

We enjoyed 5 nights at the Smith Farm and loved it. The house is really nicely decorated and there is everything you need to be able to cook family meals. The sunrise and sunset views both are lovely! the disc golf course is great and the dogs loved the ability to run the property. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of towels, etc, as well. thank you for such a lovely property! This is close to our daughter's school, so we will be back!

Family Time at the Farm

This property is so comfortable. We loved the huge firepit and enjoyed one night of a beautiful evening by the fire and stargazing at the Milky Way. Sadly, the rest of the week was rainy and cold but at least we got in one good one! The house is very spacious allowing plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and relax! The huge kitchen was delightful for cooking and very well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils and even a few food items! We loved every minute of our stay!
