The breakfast every morning was a lovely touch and there was plenty of room for us to have our own stay. The photos online do not do this villa justice - it’s a lot more impressive in real life! “La casa en general está muy descuidada. La cocina estaba sucia y solamente pudimos usar el microondas y la cafetera. El resto de electrodomésticos muy sucios y en muy mal estado. Habitaciones separadas realmente solo tiene 2, y el baño, además de peligroso (varias regletas muy cerca de la ducha) es pequeño e insuficiente para una casa supuestamente para 8 personas. La piscina sucia también y con poca agua. Fuera hay unos perros, que aunque separados de la entrada, creemos que podrían saltar en……

“Magnifique accueil d'Isabel, la maison est très bien, très propre et très calme. Chaque question reçoit une réponse sympathique, Isabel est à l'écoute et au service de ses clients, elle a toujours le sourire et est très disponible. L'accès au village est un peu périlleux, mais la vue sur la vallée vaut bien qu'on s'en donne la peine !! Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir car la vallée du Douro est magnifique ! Ne pas manquer la croisière sur le Douro depuis Regua, situé à quelques kilomètres……

“This place deserves awards for how special it is! My husband and I booked Casa Do Monte for our wedding venue in 2024. We booked it about 9 months in advance and during that time, the owner, Marcus, met with us to discuss logistics and make sure everything related to our wedding was as perfect as possible. His help was never advertised or expected but he is an incredible person who helped make our wedding into the perfect day. We had about 22 guests stay in the house over a 4 day period.……
