“Loved it and can’t wait to return! The view is gorgeous—amazing sunsets and, in the morning, Varenna is lit up by the sun. The patio is also right next to an old waterfall/fountain ruin type of thing that is lit up at night and it’s stunning. The inside of the apartment is also fantastic and we loved the very large bathtub and the rain shower heads. A few things to know—it IS the penthouse so there are quite a bit of outside stairs to get to the apartment. It wasn’t really a problem for us but……

“VarennaHolidays staff were very helpful and responsive. Lines of communication were always open, and we felt very confident and supported throughout the whole process. The property was lovely-- great views, very good location, excellent restaurants nearby, close to waterfront and the ferry. The number of steep steps came as a little bit of a surprise.”

“The property was lovely. The view to Lake Como was spectacular. The hosts live next door and were very attentive without being disruptive. The only negative I can mention is that we used the kitchen to cook a meal and there were no essentials like salt/pepper/olive oil - most other VRBOs we have stayed at have those available. But we did have 4 delicious fresh eggs when we arrived and the hosts provided a mini happy hour with appetizers and wine on our first night. Overall a definite 5……

“Sehr liebevoll eingerichtete Ferienwohnung. Alle benötigten Küchenutensilien sind vorhanden. Sogar Kaffee (Nespresso) gab es reichlich zur Auswahl. Die Lage ist super, alles fußläufig erreichbar: Bäcker, Restaurant, Lebensmittelladen, Bahnhof, Bootsanleger und See. Kleines Manko: Wie angegeben gab es für die Tochter nur ein Schlafsofa und kein vollwertiges Bett. Besitzer sind sehr hilfsbereit und haben uns in einer Notsituation sehr geholfen. Hier werden wir bestimmt wieder hinkommen!”

“The place was absolutely wonderfull. Smelled like fresh wood. Immaculate clean. With all amenities needed. Wonderful trail steps away from the front door. Walking distance to lake and 3 minutes walk to a great restaurant. Donato was a fantastic host. He came over right away when I needed and was always quick to respond. I highly recommend and will definitely come back.”
