This is a very low key resort. It’s great if all you want to do is lay by the pool. There is no beach and activities were nonexistent. We were actually bored after two days. We didn’t expect nonstop activities but a few would have been nice.The rooms are very nice but two of our rooms were overlooking another resort’s electrical/plumbing area. I could understand if the resort was busy but it was not. I upgraded to a swim out suite and it was fantastic. The staff is first class. Unfortunately, three in our group got TERRIBLE food poisoning/travelers diarrhea the last day requiring a visit from the hotel doctor and a pricey bill. It turned out that 12 other guest were ill at the same time. It made for a very rough travel day. I do believe that the resort did take the issue seriously and checked on our well being.

The gym was a pleasant surprise with the amount of equipment it had. The hydrotherapy at the spa was amazing! David was so kind and helpful. I the resort only have two restaurants steak house and Italian, the service at the Italian restaurant with Gabriel and Ryan was unmatched!

Great stay. Great pool. Domingo and Erik were the 2 highlights of our trip. Domingo serves up amazing drinks at the SOS bar and Erik everyday in the boathouse gave beyond exceptional service. We ate everywhere on resort. Best spot was at license to chill. The 2 that require reservations were mediocre at best. The Italian place was good but the sauce was sweet when should be savoury. The steak house hostess was horrible and started our meal off on the wrong foot. The food was ok. The steak was a joke. Looked like a piece of liver. You get this feel of staged. But I also didn’t go to Mexico to eat American food. Rooms were always cleaned and stocked with water. The spa was wonderful but extremely overpriced. We wanted a relaxing vacation so we spent some money. No regrets we were extremely relaxed. Wifi was great at the resort. The app is kind of terrible. Doesn’t work a lot and hard to confirm reservations. Also noticed when we went to the steakhouse we checked the hostess tablet. Looked like they had a lot of empty tables but were turning down people. Everyone at the pool complained about how difficult it was to get in. Overall I would likely go back. We want to explore other parts of Mexico but this place is on the go back to.

Ok we were there for 5 days. Cassandra did a great job cleaning the room everyday. Oscar and Christian were always there to assist with anything we needed. We had the Bali bed #10 for a few days and Maria did an amazing job catering to us!! Restaurants: Fank and Lola's Quality of the food 8.5 or of ten Quantity, I would say if your Hungry, definitely order 2 of everything. Pizza is actually really good. Highly recommend. JWB steakhouse Quality of food 10 out of 10. Now I must admit, the both nights we ate there, I ordered off of the "extra menu". First night we had the dry aged ribeye and a Tommy (what I call tomahawks). They were delicious, high quality cut. The second night I had the filet mignon and again phenomenal. Tequila quality 2/10(house tequila). We bought 2 really nice bottles at the steak house which we carried with us during the pool days which Maria made our mix drinks with. Staff I honestly can't say anything bad about the staff and bartenders. Always ready to help and always kept the good vibes going. Spa and gym Wendy has magic hands, highly recommended Gym has everything you need to keep up with your gains! They only have one party spot at night and we had a blast every night. They do need to do some maintenance on their pool table, it's seen better days. Overall we had a amazing time, I would definitely recommend

Great resort with very attentive staff that go out of their way to make your vacation enjoyable. Rooms and resort were very clean (minus a few smelly elevators). Fitness centre was well equipped and a great size. Food was excellent at the al a carte restaurants. Would have been nice to have one or two more dining options and a better reservation system (was difficult to book for larger groups on the app). Some of our party did get ill on the last night of our stay and it seemed many others there did also. Overall a highly recommended resort at a very reasonable price.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed the overall experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the amenities made our stay even more relaxing. The food was also excellent, with a great variety of options to choose from. The location is beautiful, and the beach itself has so much potential. However, the seaweed was quite heavy during our stay, which made it less enjoyable to swim or spend time by the water. It’s understandable that this is a natural issue and not something the hotel can fully control, but it did impact the beach experience. Overall, we still had a lovely time and would recommend this hotel for its great service, comfort, and atmosphere—just keep in mind that seaweed conditions may vary depending on the season.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Margaritaville Riviera Maya, and I can confidently say it exceeded every expectation. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that immediately set the tone for an exceptional stay. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable every detail felt thoughtfully curated, from the plush bedding to the perfectly placed lighting. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere, making it easy to unwind after a long day. The amenities were equally impressive. Whether enjoying a peaceful morning coffee with an ocean view, taking advantage of the St. Somewhere spa, or simply relaxing in the inviting common spaces, everything felt modern, clean, and intentionally maintained. The staff deserves special recognition: they were attentive without being intrusive, quick to offer help, and always went the extra mile to make sure guests felt cared for. Breakfast offered a wonderful selection of fresh, high quality options, and the dining area was bright, organized, and welcoming. It was a perfect way to start each day. Overall, this hotel delivers an exceptional blend of comfort, service, and style and look forward to going again. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and stress free experience.

I had an incredible trip to Margaritaville Riviera Maya (adults only)! The resort was very clean, the staff were absolutely amazing, the food was delicious and the chill vibe was exactly what we wanted for this trip. It’s a smaller resort so you can easily find everything and not spend the week getting to know the resort. There is NO beach for the most part. Sometimes when the tide is low, there’s enough room to walk a short ways away but this resort is mainly pools. The main pool was so much fun with the swim up bar and activities. The other pool (also with a swim up bar) is more quiet for days you’d prefer to be away from the action. We loved it! The drinks were great as well and the Landshark bar/brewery was a very nice addition. The only negative thing I’d have to say is although there is something going on every night, it’s not very exciting entertainment. It goes with the chill vibe though!

We stayed at the Margaritaville Adults-Only Resort in Puerto Morelos as a family of four and had a great experience. The resort is small (355 rooms), making everything convenient. The rooms are well decorated, very comfortable, and feature excellent water pressure with consistent hot water. The food was very good, we tried all the restaurants and enjoyed them. The buffet is on the smaller side but sufficient, and the staff go out of their way to help. It’s closed at lunch, but a BBQ is set up instead. All restaurants' staff ask about allergies before seating you and serving you, which we appreciated. The main pool is lively, with two quieter side pools. The right-side pool has the swim-up SOS bar, while the left “Prestige” pool offers bar service. If chairs are still available after 11 a.m., they’re generally open to anyone. Evenings at the LandShark Bar (open until 1 a.m.) were fun, with live bands or a DJ, plus their own on-site brewery. Dinner reservations must be made through the app (opens at 11 a.m.). Skip the “gift” note, it’s a timeshare pitch. Room service is excellent, order the chicken tenders (get two!). All staff were very friendly. One last note: do not choose this resort if you want a beach, there is essentially none.

The property is a short ride from the airport. Try to book more cost effective transportation than what the hotel connects you with. The property is new, modern, fresh, and a little generic. Pools are nice with options for your desired noise and crowd level. There isn’t a beach which was fine because the pools are very relaxing. The food is consistent but not spectacular, think Chilies and Olive Garden level food. The room was definitely better than just hotel room. Definitely get a room with the tub and rain shower. I don’t see the value in the swim up ground level rooms but the rooms with a private plunge pool and ocean view looked amazing. Beware of the timeshare heavy handed pitch. Swat the “concierge” who is really a sales person away when you arrive. The inside bar before and after diner is a must do. If your goal is a week of rest, no decisions, and not signing a check after every meal or drink then this is a great option. I would come back.

Everything is amazing, Pool, swim up bar, food and staff was extraordinary. Only think I was disappointed about was the size of the beach. It’s not a great one. Need to travel outside the resort for better access and amenities
