Best Western Columbia River Waterfront Hotel Astoria

"I recently stayed at this property, having visited many times when it was a Comfort Suites. Since the takeover by Best Western, I noticed that the rooms have been beautifully remodeled and were spotlessly clean. The free breakfast was a fantastic perk that really started my day off right. I didn’t get a chance to use the pool, but it looked inviting and well-maintained. I also loved that the hotel is conveniently located next to Safeway, which made it easy to grab any essentials I needed. The only downside I found was the price; it can be noticeably higher than other hotels in the area. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a comfortable stay!"

"Nice proper and clean rooms. Easy check-in. Beds very comfortable. Location a little away from restaurants and the Pier 39 closed at 9 so had to drive back in town. Slightly industrial area but an easy drive to Astoria Column and continuing our trip to Mt. Ranier. Good breakfast options."

New creek-side home in the country with modern amenities

"The location was beautiful and secluded, away from busy roads and traffic. A perfect peaceful escape for my wife and I, and our two Great Danes who for as big as they are, are traumatized by the seemingly endless fireworks on and around the 4th of July in Vancouver, Wa. From the evening of the 3rd, through the morning of the 5th, I think I saw maybe 3 cars pass the house on the long dead end road. The soothing sound of a nearby creek, some wandering deer, floating butterflies, forest, a mountain hike and tranquil fields were our main companions. At first our two pups didn't know what to make of all of the beautiful and uncontested scenery, but they quickly settled in peacefully to their new environment. The house was perfect, with plenty of space for our 4 granddaughters to sleep, when we plan on returning with them later this year to watch the salmon run in the nearby creek. The house was spotless, 3 bedrooms, two large baths, a fenced patio with a grill, and the A/C really came in handy when things heated up on the 4th. Don and Kitty who live about a 5 minute walk away are wonderful, friendly folks, who let us know we were welcome to say hi if we chose to visit. I couldn't have asked for a nicer place to visit to get away from the noise of Vancouver. I am already thinking about the fun and relaxation we will have when we go back!"
